Randy later went outside, and determined there might have been some obstruction (small animal, nest?) that had temporarily blocked the air pipe.  Furnace ran fine afterwards.    We have used Randy's services for 22 years, have always been very satisfied.

Randy Fleming Heating & AC sold us a high efficiency (16 SEER) Amana furnace and air conditioning system.  What RFH & AC installed in our home was a lower efficiency system.  We only found this out after NICOR/COMED rejected our $900 rebate paperwork.  Mr. Fleming was surprisingly non-responsive to many requests for corrective action so we had to go to use the legal system.  We won in small claims court (Judge Lisa Fabiano) and then Arch Heating & Cooling did an excellent job installing the correct hardware.  I returned the lower efficiency hardware to RFH & AC per the court instruction.  Rather than pay the court ordered damages, Randy Fleming tried unsuccessfully to sue me $100,000 for defamation.  Judge Eugene Doherty dismissed the defamation suit with prejudice (strongest dismissal method possible).  Finally, RFH&AC paid the court ordered damages with interest for late payment.  Getting burned twice by a contractor we trusted was a painful experience for my wife and myself.  Thank goodness for the court system.  This review is being provided as a public service.

He had to make 2 trips since he didn't have the circuit board on the truck but it saved me $200 since I bought it on Ebay. He was polite, on time, professional, did great work, no problems since the repair. Would definitely hire again!

Randy quoted me to instal a new furnace and duct work on my house I am remodeling. I accepted the quote but after a months the work was still not complete. He kept giving me one excuse after another blaming his guys and everything. I had went over the entire job with Randy on how and where I wanted the duct work ran and vents placed. Yet every time I went over to the house to check on the progress things were not being done how I had asked. The guys working on the duct work said that Randy had never given clear exact instructions on where everything was to go. I immediately called Randy to find out what was going on. He came over later on and we went over everything again. He proceeded to talk down about his workers saying that they don't listen and that one thinks he knows more than him. After the conversation he said he would have it all straightened out. I came back a few days later to check on the work to find patched ductwork and heat runs cut in the wrong spots in my floors. I asked for base board vents and instead they cut drop in vents. This was a problem since I had already put new sub flooring down for tile and now have to repair the hole in the floor. Rand apologized and said it was miscommunication and that his main guy would be over to finish everything up before thanksgiving. They forgot to run a heat run to my bathroom and wrecked the hardwood floors in one bedroom. The job still is not complete and I have not heard back from Randy about coming back to straighten everything out. Instead I get the bill in the mail with wrong starting and ending dates and a note about sorry for the miscommunication. Bottom line is I will never use this guy again. He is unorganized and doesn't even have the common sense to take notes when he walks through the job with the customer. Instead just verbally bashes his workers to the customer. Real professional.

They arrived promptly with a estimate and I signed paperwork to purchase the unit. They came and removed and replaced the units on the following Monday. I had to call a couple times  because it wasn't working properly and they where to call on Monday . The furnace then cleared itself out on its own and starting working. Then I started noticing water on the floor by the furnace and realized  they had removed and thrown out my humidifier  that was on my old furnace without replacing it on my new furnace. I have called many times about this to replace or at least come unhook the other piece of the humidifier so i don't have water on the floor to slip in but they never return the calls or come out.

They installed the furnace and got it working through the weekend. The price was reasonable. The furnace is efficient and I have got a 10-year warranty on parts. There was a small problem after they installed it and their service guy came right out. He had to drive for 40 minutes to come here and he fixed it. The overall service was excellent but I don't know about the equipment. It is new and everything works good when it is new, so we will see.

He is really very good. He is extremely good. He has his own business. He is really honest and very fair. He does great work. He is great. He came out the same day that we called and got it running. He said that we didn't need a new furnace and he could fix it but he couldn't guarantee it. He ordered parts and came back the same day they came in. It has worked ever since. He told us that it is an old furnace and when we get a new one, it will definitely be through him. The price included the parts. The service was prompt. He was reliable and honest. We were new to the area and we didn't know anyone and he did a really good job.

He worked for our contractor and he worked indirectly for us. I wasn't a hundred percent pleased with them as their work was okay. A part of the work that they did was good but they were not very reliable in terms of answering back and things like that. The owner kept sending young people to do the work and a lot of the times he had to come over or send somebody else to redo what they had done. However, the work was good when he was doing it himself. It would reflect on him if his people did not do good work. I may possibly use them again in the future but I am not sure yet.

Mr Fleming quoted us a price for a new high efficient furnace and air conditioner.  Because it was winter and we had no problems with our air conditioner we just went with the furnace.  That was not an issue with him and there was no high pressure to do the entire package.  The only recommendation he made was that we go with a variable speed furnace and that was the best decision ever.  Our furnace was installed very promptly and efficiently and the old furnace was removed.
