RESTORONICS

Description of Work: After a house fire, this company who specializes in cleaning and restoring electronic equipment of all types, worked on a 5 year old desktop computer, new LCD monitor, 3 year old laptop computer, 10 year old scanner, mouse and keyboard. They were not able to restore the laptop, but were able to recover the data. They said they could not get the scanner working (it's doing just fine, thank you!), but "repaired" everything else which only had very limited smoke damage. No estimates were given on their costs and they charged more to work on the mouse, monitor, keyboard and scanner than they were worth! Then to make matters worse, they charged us $80 to deliver everything. I am very glad we did not send the balance of our electronics to them. This company came recommended to us by the disaster company working for the insurance company. I could not believe that they would charge more to repair something than it was worth without an estimate or advising us that it would cost more. I found them to be very unprofessional and unreliable. I feel like we were taken advantage of because of our situtation and because it was an insurance company who was footing the bill. Not only would I not recommend this company, I would warn others against using them.
