Had a mold problem in a new house. Contacted Serv-Pro of Rockford IL franchise in Rockford IL. Contacted them by phone and arranged for them to come out and perform an estimate. They never showed on the day of the apt. Called a second time and was told that they were busy and just forgot. Made arrangements for them to come out to house a second time. This time they did show and did perform the estimate. At the time, they apologized for missing the previous apt and offered a discount on the work to be performed. We agreed on a price and time. When the day approached, I called their office to confirm the day and time and was informed at that time that they had decided to decline the job. NICE GOING!! If I hadn't called for conformation of the day and time I would never have known. I rate the Serv-Pro franchise of Rockford, IL a big ZERO in all categories. I wound up calling Serv-Pro of Crystal Lake, IL. They did make the initial apt to perform an estimate. It was substantially higher then the original estimate from the Serv-Pro franchise in Rockford, IL. At the time I had no choice so I was forced to agree. The job took several days longer then quoted and I was forced to call in a separate company to do an analysis and formulate an action plan. (Additional expense!) We agreed to a payment schedule of 50% up front and the other 50% upon completion. I paid them their initial payment and received my receipt. They proceeded to perform the work. When the work was completed, I was asked for the remaining 50% payment, which I paid. I asked for my receipt and was told by their representative that it would be mailed to me from their office. I NEVER received the second receipt from them. I called several times and was told it would be sent. It NEVER happened. This was an issue for me as both were needed for some legal work. The Crystal Lake office did do the work and it was done correctly. It did take a longer time then I was originally told. And there were additional expenses that were incurred. However their office procedures leave something to be desired in my opinion.
Description of Work: NOTHING! They were contacted for a mold remediation in an unfinished basement. Their franchise performed NO work.

Arian Bagwell came out the same day. He was very professional and comfortable to be with. Best of all, he found no mold problems. I had left messages for other contractors who didn't even return my calls. Arian & Servpro are now on my preferred contactractor list and I would like to commend him.
Description of Work: Due to the heavy rain recently, my basement flooded. I called ServPro to assess for mold.
