Poor quality

Work was professionally done in a timely manner. I would certainly use them again.

I had a fence installed last May 2011 by Rockford Fence Co.  I am
overall unhappy with them for a number of reasons.  1st the posts are
uneven and at varying heights causing the top of the fence all the way
across to be waving and uneven looking.  2nd the quality of the product
they used is not heavy duty quality.  The fence is loose throughout.  In
July of 2012  my neighbor complained that my dog could get his head and
shoulders under the fence.  Sure enough that section was loose enough
for him to do that.  He is a large Bulldog with a big head and body.  I
called Rockford Fence and asked if someone could come out and take care
of it.  The Woman on the phone was rude and said someone would be out to
give me an estimate.  An estimate? After having the fence 1 year it
shouldn't need repair and what happened to the lifetime warranty?  I
didn't argue it and just agreed.  They never showed up or even called.  I
fixed it myself by rigging it.  I paid $1365 for this fence and it
should be strong and look good.  It is neither.  The customer service of
this place is poor and they have the mentality of once the job is done
they are done with you all together.

We chose Rockford Fencing because his bid came in at the lowest price.  We were very pleased with the quality of his work and we would use him again.

I've forgotten the gentleman's name that came to give me a quote on fencing, but he was professional, personable, and on time.
He informed me of the differences in wood - cedar vs. treated and  was very knowledgeable - he even brought samples of both!   Even though we not ready to purchase fencing until Spring, he made me feel that it is important to plan ahead.  He never made me feel silly with my questions.    He gave me a written quote on the spot which I really appreciated.  As for price - I'm not really sure as it was my first quote & I had absolutely no idea how much it would be, but as the other quotes came in it certainly was in line with the others.  I liked the fact that he was on time (since I was on my lunch hour) and gave me the quote right away.  We definitely will keep Rockford Fence in mind come Spring!!

when they came out to do the estimate i was told they were starting residential the following day and only had a few small jobs to do so they could get to me the beginning of the following week. we agreed that they would cut down the bushes and haul them away for an additional $85.00. the following week when i hadn't had anyone at my house i called the company on thursday and was told "they'll be there in the morning" i didn't get an apology or explanation as to why it took them all week. on friday they came out, cut the bushes and left them and put in the posts. the next week i called on tuesday since they hadn't been back and was told they were going to finish they just didn't know when. again, no apology or explanation. they finally came back but still left all the bushes. the following week i came home to find a bill from them for the $685.00 saying the work was completed and hauled away. when i called and asked what was hauled away i was told they would take the $85.00 off the bill and send me a new bill and it was my problem to have the bushed hauled away, again with no apology or even a discount on the bill for having to finish the work we agreed they would do.
