Jeff Ritter, Machesney Park, IL claims to be the owner of Raintree Seamless Gutters, yet I hear the name Steve Lizer associated here, also? Not sure. Anyhow about 6 years ago, Ritter and his sons put up all new gutters for me, late summer of 2016. In the spring, one of the corners was POURING water, during a bad rainstorm. The gutters were 6 months old. Have had problems with LEAKING gutters ever since. I call him back every year to come and fix them. He claims "he doesn't know why" they keep leaking? Really? Then, maybe you should be in another trade, because I bought new gutters so they wouldn't leak anymore! A couple years, he never showed up to fix them, because it rained too much, then got cold, etc. so many excuses. I have records of text messages to him, as well as emails, with videos showing the water leaking from several of the corners. He did come and replace the 6 corners in 2019, but guess what? They STILL leak! I called him in 2021 to come fix and no response, ever! I went up there myself with gutter goop to try and fix this ridiculous problem: leaking gutters! Don't waste your time and/or money hiring this guy.

I called the company, they took my information, and told me someone would call me back to set up an appointment for an estimate. Jeff called me back quickly, and set an appointment for the following day. I informed him that I would be at work but would leave the gate open so he could access the backyard where the gutter issues were occurring. He did not have a problem with that plan and I explained in detail the specific issues I was experiencing. He did not show up for the estimate nor did anyone from the company contact me to reschedule. I waited over a week just in case he was planning on mailing me an estimate but nothing came in the mail either. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and professional, but I can't work with an unreliable company.

TERRIBLE !! I HAD MY GUTTERS REPAIRED AND LEAFREE GUARDS INSTALLED LAST JUNE, 2016. IN APRIL 2017, I CALLED FOR HELP WITH A CLOGGED DOWN SPOUT. TWO MONTHS AND FIVE ADDITIONAL CALLS AND EXCUSES AND THE DOWN SPOUT STILL REMAINS CLOGGED. TOTALLY UNACCEPTIBLE.

I called and left a message after making several attempts over a course of a few days. They never returned my call to even set up an appointment to look at my house for all new siding.

Fall 2012 Raintree replaced my porch roof which was damaged by hail. In May of 2013 I noticed that 6 of the 9 skylights were broken-all in the same area. I left voice messages and I even was able to speak to a woman on one of the calls. she said she would look into it and get back to me-she never did. After several calls the owner did come to my house to check out the problem. I was not home and I did not know he was coming to my house. He cleaned out the porch gutters, which I appreciated, but he would not have seen where the problem is since he needs access to my porch. I did e-mail him in August 2013 and asked if he could come and look again at where the problem is--there was no response. I am very disappointed in their response where there is a problem due to either product failure or an installation problem. The previous porch roof was in place with no damage for over 19 years...this replacement lasted less than 9 months. I am not sure what to do next.

"I did go over to [member name removed] home to assess the problem. On the first visit, I cleaned her gutters on the screen room, thinking that was causing a backup. Since is was a very dry summer, I never heard back from her about any further leaks until fall. I have since repaired several cracked panels and added new flashing from the shingled roof to the aluminum roof to prevent water from entering the screen room. I have not heard of any other leaking issues since then."

During the first rain we had leaks, called them and they responded quickly. At the next rain we had another leak in one of the same areas they had previously repaired. We have called and left messages about a half a dozen times but have had no response. Disappointing.

I called the company, scheduled a home visit concerning gutters and siding. The owner came to my home, took measurements taken for gutters and siding on house and garage, I agreed to have the work done, a written estimate was given (the business's computer was down). In a few days I received an email with official estimate and the message "I will call you in a few days." Three weeks later I still hadn't heard from the company. I called, was told by owner "I thought Jeff was going to call and he thought I was." No apology at all. i told the owner I did not wish to do business with his company. A few minutes later he called back to say he'd "just put an coupon on Angie's list for free gutters with siding" and he would be glad to do that for me. Strange, because a month earlier I had seen that coupon on his listing and that's one of the reasons I called them.

They installed gutter guards, which are supposed to prevent debris from clogging, however, the gutters still become clogged. We have marine locusts, which have extremely small leaves, so that could be why the leaves are still able to get through the guards.

"2/28/2013 I must disagree with Member, but she does have the dates and facts incorrect. We originally installed LeafProof on the upper front of her home in September of 2008. My sales person reminded the Member that the front channel of the LeafProof must be easily maintained from the ground with a garden hose. This process is also described in the warranty they received with the invoice. On 9/22/2009, we returned to their house after a complaint about a leak and cleaned the LeafProof for them at no cost. After another call from the Member on 7/29/2010 we again cleaned the LeafProof at no cost. But at that time told the customer they had to maintain the product as described the warranty and we would not return to do that without billing them for the service. We never received a call from them after that."
