I was a first time customer, and I was referred by my friend named Bob.  This service went very well.  Both Mike and his wife are very friendly.  Mike explained how the front end alignment was determined on his machine.  They had honest prices and the work was done wonderfully. They were so friendly with nice accommodations.  Their waiting room was equipt with comfortable chairs, coffee, a fireplace, and snacks!  I have never been so impressed. It was obvious they had pride of ownership.  The office was so unbelievably clean.  Working with this company was simply a breath of fresh air.

They're fabulous to work with. I have been with them for 15 years. He's very accommodating in getting me what I needed. He's very knowledgeable and a very good communicator in communicating his knowledge to me and what's going on. He gives me rides home. He's just great to work with. I love Mike's Auto. I trust him implicitly on what really needs to be done and what doesn't need to be done. He'll pick me up and drive me back to work. He has his limits but he'll do absolutely the best to accommodate my schedule. I'm really very happy to have him too. It gives me great security.

I had been taking my cat to Mike for about 2 years. After having a rebuilt alternator installed on an emergency basis at another facility I brought it to Mike to inspect a new squeak that was coming from the engine. He looked at it and said I was obviously taking the car elsewhere so he didn't want to work on it. It would and quot;probablyand quot; be okay. He did mention that it could be moisture because my car sits out at night. I told him it is always in a garage, but he just starred at his computer. I am sure he was looking at the info from

when I first started using him that said it sat outside at night. I didn't bother to explain that I had moved.



I took it to another mechanic and had it fixed in 2 hours. New belt, new idler pulley.

On the Audi, it was frustrating because
they kept calling and adding to the price because they found more and more
things that needed to be fixed. That said, the car is 11 years old and
the engine had not been apart in a long time. We ended up spending way
more then we planned on. It was also frustrating because when I
got the car back, the heater did not work. That said, there were not very
many cold days before it was in the shop. My husband ended up fixing the
heater himself. We appreciate how they replaced bolts and knew what they
were doing, and seemed to care about us and our cars. Not many shops now
how to care for an Audi well, especially to my husbands standards. He had no
complaints about the way they put the engine back together -- all the clips and
bolts were in place and not broken. (A very common problem we have with
other shops.)
We were happy with the Cabrio service -- it was
quick and went well and the things they recommended we fix eventually were all
known items, and there was no pressure to get those done right away from the
shop. They respected that we couldn't afford it after just buying a new
car.

From start to finish, Mike and his team are professional and offer excellent service with competitive pricing. As long as he's in business, I will go nowhere else!

I was lucky enough to get a great recommendation from a friend of my sister's when I first moved to Rockford: a quality auto shop. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and has been working together for years, which tells me that they are very skilled as well as fairly-paid for their work. They know my car well, are willing to listen, let me know what to keep on eye on when I go in for oil changes, and never, ever push unnecessary work or gimmicks (which has happened when I have strayed and gone to Quick Oil Change joints). Over the years, I have had all sorts of work done, from alternators being replaced to new tires. The work is fast and priced fairly, the staff is pleasant and fun, and the shop is clean with a big quiet waiting room. It's nice to be able to trust someone in this business! Not only do I not hesitate to recommend Mike's Auto to friends, I actively sing their praises to anyone who'll listen in the Rockford area. My only complaint is they work regular business hours (open early in the morning, though) and are not available on weekends. But it's not that big of a deal and probably makes this small and outstanding company work as well as it does.
