WARNING:  DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!!   On 5/12/12 they destroyed a 25-year-old Heritage River Birch on my property.  This tree is one of the most important features of my landscaping in my front yard.  McCpys did not have my consent to trim this tree or be on my property.  They cut off one of the three main trunks damaging an expensive cable system that was professionally installed to stabilize the tree and left a bare "telephone pole" stump sticking out of the ground.  Not only does it look unsightly, reduces my property value, but will inevitably cause the tree to become susceptible to disease and die. I hired a licensed arborist ($250.00) from a reputable, well-known tree service who appraised my destroyed River Birch at $28,300.00.  Furthermore, the arborist explained that the tree trimming was not done according to proper ANSI Standards for tree trimming and that any reputable company would have walked away from the job rather than destroy a tree in the manner that McCoy did.  I had spent $280.00 on 4/30/12 to have this same tree professionally trimmed, then 12 days later, McCoys destroyed the tree. McCoys refuses to repair or pay for the damage that they have done to my tree.  On 6/7/12 I talked with the owner, Junior, explaining the damage to my tree and his only response to me was "Those trees aint' worth nothin'"  then he walked away.  He is unwilling to pay for the damage to my tree and any possible repairs.  He is extremely rude, uses foul language and is unscrupulous.

MCCOY TREE SERVICE has been in business a long time. Original owner showed up as scheduled with son and grandsons and others, totaling 6.
It took the long time experience of the son as a "climber" to successfully top the tree without damaging power line and structures.

Everything was removed neatly and expeditiously and the large stump was ground out  deep below grade.

I have to admit that I'm a hard person to satisfy when it comes to any  hired out work. That's why I'm a DIY. This job was to
big for me to handle, but I'm glad I picked the right company to do it.
