It can be a walk in and the staff was excellent. Te pet was taken care of well, we have been using them for 10 years. My daughter likes a couple of doctors there very much. They are very kind and answer lots of questions.

I would grade them an "A" or I would not be going there.

We go there because appointments are not required so we can just walk in.  So it’s very handy in that respect.  It’s a practice of about 8 vets and so we don’t know who we will get.  We can request certain vets and some are definitely more experienced and have been around the block.  We forget the name of the vet that we had seen. It was expensive but it was just one of those things where we have the extra capital to do it.  We spend a lot on our animals. The quality depends on what vet we get out there.  We have to wait a long time there, but if an animal comes in that is hurt they push the animal to the top of the list. They’re busy, but if someone comes in that has been injured or something, they will move that animal ahead of everyone else.  So that should be expected.

He died. but I can't stop thinking about some of the things that seemed to result in a hastened demise. Too much medicine that caused him to be so lethargic he could not drink, eat or urinate. I keep wondering of he would have come out of the stupor but the vet said the medicane would only leave his body via urination, which, catch 22, he could no longer do. I know he was very ill but he sure got bad so fast. My husband carried him around where ever we went for several days but he just couldn't get over it. We had to have him put down. I have to kep telling myself that he was ultimately going to die but I feel so guilty for not asking the right questions.

I took my Mastiff to Hillcrest Animal Hospital for surgery on her cruciate ligament. I was extremaly happy with the results that i received. I was quoted 1800.00 from a Vet in Belvidere (he would not be doing the surgery himself) but would farm it to another surgeon (whom I would not be able to meet.) At that time i took the advice of a friend and checked out Hillcrest. I had the surgery done. A week or so later my dog developed an infection at home. This was on a Saturday. I took her to the emergency vet in Rockford on morsay drive. They keep her until Monday morning. On Monday morning the surgeon from Hillcrest went over there in his personal vehicle and picked her up (now mind you this is 175 lb dog.) he took back to his hospital, got the infection under control. He keep her until Friday and sent her home with a final bill of 70.00 for this week. To me this does not sound like someone in it for the money. I love this hospital and their staff

What is nice about them is you don't need an appointment. If you want to say I want to take my dog in today you just take them in and it not that they are not good or not crowded but they have a few Doctors there. You don't sit there and wait a couple of hours to see the Doctor. I have been taking my dogs there for years. I trust them because I have my little babies and I breed them for size and colors for the little tiny ones. All mine are like four pounds. I went in there one time and they weighed him and I had my other dogs with me and everybody was at the counter. They weight this little tiny dog and it was like eighty some pounds. Everybody went what! There was this little tiny dog sitting on the scale and the girl wrote down eighty four pounds. It got everybody in the whole place attention because these things are so cute. They ow'ed and awed over him to see that little thing on the scale. I better put him on a diet. They are all inside all the little spoiled little brats. They think our bed is just for them and I am engulfed in them while they lining my body.

The rates are very high. They don't give you much information. They only care about the money and not your pets. They staff is all confused and disorganized. I am displeased with their service.
