It took Rich two trips to complete the job. He always followed through with what he said. Completely thorough with the work he did. And, I feel safer because of it.

Rich is very busy, which is true of all the good electricians in town, but he is good about returning calls and upfront about his schedule. He's worth waiting for! He returns calls promptly. Rich and his helper did great work, and when Com Ed wanted another bracket installed on the outside conduit before hooking up the new meter, they came right out. I will be calling Gibbons Electric for any future electrical work on my house.

They bid the job, explained the process, and added extra circuits, a new box, moved the meter to the outside of the garage as per code, drilled a hole in the concrete on side of garage and grounded the system. Great job. Would use them again and I might in my new house.

Overall it was a very favorable service experience. We are always hesitant when calling someone new, and were relieved to get someone who was friendly and capable. We would certainly call Gibbons again if the need should arise.

We had a problem with one of the sensor lights - it goes on because of a tree blowing in the wind nearby.

Called Rich Gibbons about wanting to remove an old junction box from my ceiling and installing a new box near the front door. Rich got back with me on the project in just a couple days and gave me an estimate of $125 to $175 depending on how much work it would take to move the existing junction box. There were time constraints on this project due to additional insulation being added to attic in just a few days. Rich didn't feel there would be any problems fitting me into his schedule. I hired Rich over the phone and we scheduled a time a few days later to do the project. He called me on the way over, and I met him at my home. He and his assistant took one look at the project and came up with the great idea of moving my smoke detector a few feet and use it as a cover for the existing junction box. I thought this was a fantastic idea and was mad that I didn't think of it years ago. It took Rich and his assistant about 20 minutes to install the new junction box and test it. All in all, a great experience. I will be using Rich for all future electrical projects.
