Feldco Windows Siding & Doors

I ordered the door on Sept. 26. It was installed on Nov. 7. However, the inside trim had been measured incorrectly so that had to be reordered. That was finally installed on Dec. 6. Although I had repeatedly asked for the insulation around the trim to be filled in, it was never done. The hardware that came with the door is of poor quality and the peephole I ordered is more of a pinhole and useless. I contacted them in person twice about this and have never heard back. The door seems to be made well but customer service is pretty bad.

I ordered two windows from Feldco on July 13, 2017. On August 14 the first attempt to install the windows failed. The installer told me the windows were the wrong size (too small) and proceeded to provide negative feedback on the company. On August 17 Nick came to remeasure the windows and placed an order for a new set of bigger windows. On September 16 a new installer came with the second set of windows only to tell me they were the wrong size also, too big this time. He proceeded to tell me the original windows were actually the correct size and encouraged me to have them installed and explained why. I agreed and I was told someone from the Feldco office would call me and set another installation date. Feldco called the following week and arranged the third installation on October 14. After I expressed my increasing displeasure with Feldco, he asked what would make me happy and I asked for money off the windows. He offered a $350 discount which I accepted. On October 14 the installers were a no show; no phone call or email, even though I received a reminder email for the installation on October 13. I called Feldco corporate on October 14 and expressed my increasing lack of faith in Feldco. On October 15 I received a call from Allan (Rockford general manager) he assured me he would get the windows installed correctly and provide an additional discount. On October 28, 2017 the fourth attempted installation resulted in poorly installed windows, one of them would only open 3-4 inches. I again called corporate on October 30 and they sent out the service manager on November 2 who confirmed the windows had to be reinstalled (will be 5th attempt). On October 30 I also left a message for Allan requesting a conversation on the promised discount, with no response. November 6 called corporate who sent an email to all management reporting the issues. So, after four attempts to install two windows I am beyond frustrated with this company. I have called multiple times, was promised results and each time they have completely failed. Four attempted installs of two windows and now I’m waiting for the FIFTH attempted installation-this is ridiculous. Allan (Rockford Feldco general manager) has promised on two occasions to reduce the cost of the windows again and it still hasn’t happened. On November 2 the service manager confirmed the windows were installed wrong and had to be reinstalled. NO ONE has called me to set an installation date. I’ve talked to corporate four times now with NO resolution. DON'T do any business with the Rockford location! Side note: after submitting a complaint to the BBB and writing a letter to the owner Doug Cook, Allan called and got the windows installed on November 11 with a 50% discount given.

This company is a complete joke, it took MONTHS to get the windows right. We ordered windows with grids and nearly every window needed to be re-ordered multiple times and after multiple tries the manager gave us a discount on our order because they couldn't get it right in the end. Now months later our caulk is brown and sticky, they are coming out and caulking over the bad caulk... I wouldn't suggest this company to anyone! STAY AWAY!

THEY CAME ON TIME, INSTALATION COMPLETED IN ONE DAY.

The experience was great!  After describing what I wanted and what they were for, a representative came to my home to help me choose.  I was able to choose color and style for the windows, and color, style, and type of glass for the doors.  Good quality hardware to choose from for the doors also.  They are custom ordered and made so the wait was about 2-3 weeks before installation.  The install was fast, clean, and easy. (one day)  Then another representative stopped by to answer any questions, demonstrate how to use, and, generally, check on the insallation.  Just to make sure we were happy with it, I guess.  It is not the cheapest way to go, but competitively priced and good quality installation and products.

They did a very good job.  They were professional.
