Crimson Valley Landscaping

Was a little concerned when project started as my yard was a major mess. My worries were all gone once project was finished as they did an excellent job on the new retaining wall, patio area, and planting, plus restoring my yard. I'm looking forward to seeing all the plants blooming and enjoying my updated backyard.

They're still in the process of working with us. We started working with them about eight years ago, so we've been doing stuff with them for a long time. They did the original landscaping for us years ago and there's a couple of trees and things they put in for us. I think they do a good job. It's pretty easy communicating with them. They came up with the whole plan for the whole thing for us to begin with. They're pretty much always A's, that's why we keep using them.

They came up with the whole plan for us. I liked working with them. Whenever you had a question, they always came out, looked at things, talk to you, and explain things to you first. The workers are really good. They clean up after themselves. They know what they are doing. They weren't the cheapest, but they did a really good job, so it was worth it.

Mark Thomas from Crimson Valley and explained to us what could be done with the areas in detail. He listened to what we needed and was very helpful when we had any questions. The crew that did the work was great and took care of the area around the front stairs to prevent damage. When they took the steps and stoop apart, they noticed the box sill was rotting away. Mark called me and explained that it needed repairing before the work could be completed. I inspected the problem and agreed it needed repair. I asked Mark if he knew of anyone to do the repair and he said he did. He had Doug Newby of Rockford Home Repair come out to give a price to repair. I gave the ok for the repair and Doug finished the repairs right away so as not to impede the stair work. I was very impressed by the workmanship on the stairs. They did the work better than when the stairs were first done and they also extended the steps so they were not as narrow. As far as the landscaping in the back, my wife is extremely happy because she now has three more areas that she can plant in. She is a very avid planter. Overall, we are very happy we called Crimson Valley and we will not hesitate to call them again anytime we need anything done. Mark was very honest with us and kept us informed every step of the way. I cannot say enough about Mark and the crew that did the work. Also let me mention Doug of Rockford Home Repair. I was impressed by his work and I would definitely call him with any repairs in the future.

The landscaping plan was followed to the letter. The landscaping crew showed up in the morning and were finished by late afternoon. I was impressed by the amount of work that was done in that time. They did some additional work at no charge, such as transplanting some hostas that were in the way to a another location.
When it was all done, it looked terrific. We were very pleased and would highly recommend Crimson Valley Landscaping to anyone needing that service.

After a really nice job in the fall......the spring cleaning was mediocre at best....have a VERY small yard, asked for a review of the flat pricing they advertise to whole city and was told NO, flat price, so I paid as much as someone with an acre of land, okay swallowed that pill......



Actual service was essentially putting mulch down, nothing else was done.

I have just asked them to come back again. I am very pleased with them. I looked at Angie's List, and they were the number 1 in the area, and they did a very good job, and so we decided to go with them again. They were informative, and informed me of everything they were doing. They did a good job. The price was okay, I would like to have it lower.

Outstanding job as I will hire them again to do other jobs around the house. Honest as they keep cost down with professional communication. You will not be disappointed.

They came back and tore down and restacked almost the entire wall. I am now a happy client.

Mark @ Crimson did a good job....we asked for them to wait as late as possible due to the number of trees we have....they did it the day b4 the first snow :) very professional. we used for 2013 spring cleanup and will use again in 2014. tends to take awhile to get quotes to customer.

The yard came out gorgeous!.. They started at 9am and finished later that day and were courteous and professional. They most important thing is that neat. Cleaned up as they went and didn't disturb the lawn itself. Great job done by all the guys!

They were great! Two employees arrived early and spent 5 hours working on my yard. They had me walk around the yard with them asking me exactly what I wanted to have done, which I really appreciated. They were polite and professional. I expected the bill to be higher than the estimate based on the amount of work there was, but I wasn't charged more than the estimate. I felt the cost was very reasonable.
