Exceptional quality at a fair price. Welting on the cushions was perfect. Pattern orientation and matching also done well. Timely response once work was begun (not surprisingly, usually has a backlog). Previously they recovered a large valance with a difficult material for me and it looks phenomenal. Above it all, there are just a darn nice couple to work with. And so very professional. Do not be put off by the appearence of the shop. It keeps them under the radar in a neighborhood that had at one time been experiencing some crime, and I expect helps keep the prices reasonable.

I cannot recommended this couple enough. We started with another Reupholsterer, but his lead time was 6 months. Bounsay was professional, courteous, and above all prompt. He did our couch while we were on vacation and it looks great.

Buonsay responded to my initial phone voice mail promptly and set up an appointment the same day to come to my house and provide an estimate. I had previously found the fabric I wanted to use at an out of town home decor fabric store and had only a small sample to show him. He advised me on the amount of fabric that would be required not only for the main covering of the chairs but also the amount of fabric that would be needed to have a contrasting welt (which I wanted). He was able to begin the job shortly after my fabric arrived.  The work was cIompleted in a shorter time than his initial estimate. The workmanship was EXCEPTIONAL! Even my very picky husband had absolutely NO criticisms. The fabric had a very small stripe and he even matched it from the seat to the back of the chair! (I didn't think that was possible!) He also provided arm covers and a detachable back cover to protect the upper back (where the head would touch). I would highly recommend him to friends and definitely plan to use his services in the future.

The greatest little business in Rockford. Took the chairs in on Dec. 5th received completed chairs on Dec 21st. Made the holidays stress free. Bounsay really knows how to do it right!

Reasonably priced and he came to my house to make sure the repair was acceptable.  I sat on the cushion to make sure it was okay.  Very well done!

They were timely did an excellent job. The patterns matched, and replaced the foam underneath the furniture looked brand new. They are very nice people to work with, they are responsive. I highly recommend them

The final product was perfect!The work and prices were excellent!  Although the shop was a bit rundown, I still had them perform the work.  (Mostly because of previous positive reviews on Angie's List!)  We reviewed the preferred firmness of the foam from a large selection, discussed the pros & cons of each and made our selection.  The work was perfect for us!  We recommend anyone needing this or other upholstery work to really consider Bounsay Upholstery.  They also recover/refurbish old couches, chairs, etc.  I saw some of this work, and was really impressed with the quality of their work.

The work is always excellent.  There is no waste whatsoever of materials or time.  He worked with my fabric and did not charge a cutting fee like other upholsterers sometimes do.  He is simply an excellent craftsman and an honest businessman.

Picked up and delivered as scheduled. Helped find fabric for discounted price. Work was perfect - patterns aligned, cording excellent, support (refoamed) was great. Thrilled with the work at a reasonable price.
