Very happy with the results, our 20 year old kitchen floor looks like new! We were scheduled for August, but were so happy when Chris called and told us that due to a cancellation, they could fit us in in May. Dealing with this business was nothing but a very positive experience!

The work was completed as described and as promised, on time, for the price quoted. Jeremy described in detail what would be done and what the sanding could and could not accomplish. He completed everything as described and it looks soooo nice!! Couldn't be happier and he takes such pride in his work!! Rightly so!! He sanded and refinished a living room, dining room, and an entire bedroom area including three bedrooms and their closets as well as the hallway connecting them all. The pictures I am providing show the before and after of two different areas. The first is the living room and the second is the hallway connecting the bedrooms. Both show significant wear and tear in the first shot and a beautiful new finish in the last (taken today)!

Excellent in every respect. Fantastic communication, prompt service, skilled craftsmanship, and followup of services that were provided. I hired this company last year for refinishing of my existing red oak flooring. Work was excellent and we then decided to install red oak floors in our living room to make the entire house complete with hardwood flooring. Installation completed flawlessly. I highly recommend this company for any future hardwood flooring installation. Jeremy and Christy will treat you right. Jeremy will answer any and all questions and makes the extra effort without any complaints. Christy makes sure you are satisfied and communication was excellent from beginning to end. We are so happy with the service Blue Ribbon Hardwoods has provided to us. We are a repeat customer and will definitely return to them for any future hardwood flooring needs. They refinished the hardwood floors in our first home, which turned out beautifully. We recently moved and had them resurface the hardwood floors with poly in our new home to preserve them as long as we could before needing to refinish them. We are so pleased with the way they turned out. We feel it has enhanced the coloring and brought back the shine they had lost from lack of care. Everyone we have come in contact with has been so friendly, answering all of our questions and helping us make the best decisions regarding our floors. We highly recommend them and wouldn't go anywhere else!

I would recommend Steve and Blue Ribbon to anyone needing hardwood services. Steve added hardwood to my living room and hallway and refinished the rest of my floors. The look exceeds even my highest expectations. 100% recommend.

Steve did a wonderful job bringing our floors back to life. Our home is older. It was built in 1946. We had been undecided about refinishing them because we wanted to make sure we found someone who did excellent work and that we could trust in our home. Steve had his work cut out for him with our floors. We had planks going in more than one direction, large dips in some areas, stains, you name it we had it. Steve worked very hard to make sure our floors turned out beautiful. He showed up everyday on time and got right to work. Chris also was a big help with answering all of my questions. She let me know what I needed to use for our floors to stay fabulous! We are very pleased with the work Blue Ribbon Premier hardwoods done for us. I even gained a new favorite radio station by listening to what Steve had on his radio :-)

I called Blue Ribbon Hardwood as they had good reviews on Angieslist. Steve was prompt on coming over & gave me a quote and said it would take 4 days to complete.
We set a date to start work & he came as scheduled. After sanding the floor he came back each morning to apply the sealer & poly finish. By applying it each morning it would dry so we could walk on it late afternoon. He did a great job of cleanup. The floor looks wonderful. My wife is happy with the finished floor. Trust me, that is a good thing.

There are several wood chips in the flooring after it was installed. My wife even had a wood chip caught in her foot while walking barefoot on the floor. uneven areas. Crack's in some area's. I am filling them up with a stain solution.Down stairs recreation room

The nailing that was used to nail down the boards caused the nails to come through and knock down paint and wood chips all over the place on every thing , on the pool table, furniture etc.The installer was polite , friendly etc no problem there but not happy with the over all installation . "[member name removed]; First of all, let me say how sorry I am that there was a mess downstairs. It is NOT uncommon for this to happen when installing a floor due to the pounding in the installation process. It is my fault for assuming after being there for a week that you would brought it to my attention. I would have GLADLY cleaned up your basement from any chips falling. Second of all b-4 I left this job and during the installation we talked about the lack of quality in the milling of the cheaper priced floors. I do not set the price and advised you that the cheaper prices usually will show less quality in the milling. You decided against the next level priced floors b-4 I bid the project. I followed your instruction as to which floor you wanted installed, and bid the just as such. In no way do I want you unhappy and wish you would have given me a courtesy call first to do whatever I can to make you happy. I am a reputable complaint free company and do not leave people unhappy within any reasonable request. I am sure that your family saw exactly what you say they did as you and I talked about the quality of the milling on the very first day of installation. My job is to install the flooring. As far as wood imperfections that is up to the manufactuer of the wood. If there is a particular area that your wife caught a sliver on I would be more then happy to do a repair free of charge to alleviate any problem on the floor. I will attempt to contact you this week of ( 10-20-14) and set a time to look at the problem. Respectfully, Blue Ribbon Hardwoods"

I had seen Steve's work before and saw the before and after results before hiring him. Steve is great to work with. He does excellent work. He sanded my hardwood floors, two bedrooms, hallway and living room and sealed and applied two coats of poly. Along with that, he sanded off felt left by very old linoleum and sanded my bathroom floor readying it for tile. I would recommend him to anyone that needs hardwood floor refinishing or installation.

Steve did an excellent job of sanding and refinishing my hardwood floors as well and sanding off the felt left behind after I tore off the linoleum floor in the kitchen and the adhesive left behind in the bathroom floor after taking up the linoleum squares in the bathroom. He used a sealer and 2 coats of poly on the hardwoods and they look great. He gave instructions on how long it would take to dry and how long it would take for it to form a hard shell and what to use to care for the hardwoods. Steve is very easy to work with and patient with answering all my questions.

He was excellent and everything that he did was excellent. He did an awesome job. He was in and out of here. He charged us really good rate. He was no problem at all. He was excellent. I would recommend him to anybody. I did recommend him to a couple of people and I think they used him. I didn’t have any dislikes about him. His personality was great. He was good with my kids. His pricing was excellent. I am planning to call him back to do rest of my wood floors.

The provider refinished the 58-year-old floors, repaired 2 thresholds and repaired holes under heat registers from a previous heating system. All work was done meticulously and the results are beautiful.

The furniture had to be moved into the empty spaces in the family/living room, closets emptied and some planning of simple daily logistics! The boys' rooms can only be accessed by the wood hallway, and our kitchen would be unavailable for a few days off and on. In addition, we have a cat and a dog who both needed to be out of the way. Having any work done on your home while living in it is inconvenient and takes some creativity to get throught the day. Be prepared for some heavy dusting after the sanding is complete!
Steve arrived each morning at 8am to begin work. The first 2 days included sanding and sealing, and the poly-urethane was applied each morning of the last 2 days. He was very clear on what he would be doing and was right on about how long he would be working and how long the floors would take to dry, which was very helpful in planning our evenings.
The floors turned out beautiful! The finish is satin, not shiny and the wood looks brand new! We are very pleased. Steve is the owner of the company, and the only one who does the work. He takes pride in what he does, knows his trade, and is very pleasant to work with. In addition, the price paid was very reasonable and fair.
