We dealt with linda on 4th floor in furniture. Was patient and knowledgeable. We had bought chairs in past with benson. Covid hampered delivery but we still received chairs from factory in reasonable time. Price was more than competition but customer service and quality prevailed. We are sitting (no pun intended) very comfortable in our new recliners. Please keep the flex steel line. We like so far. Warranty is cer reasonable.

These guys are great. We have used them many times for everything from furniture to counters - always been a good experience. Jessica in the kitchen and bath department is a pleasure to work with.

Tamara was extremely helpful in finding a fixture that was to our tastes and recommending the proper size for our space and the correct type of bulbs for the effect we wanted. When it appeared that what we wanted was a combination of the fixtures we saw in the store, she searched for a fixture that was exactly that combination and emailed us several options. When we chose the one we wanted, she met the online price. Benson Stone Co. provided all of the assistance that online shopping doesn't, and at a comparable price. We would definitely shop at Benson again and would happily recommend them to anyone.

These guys are top notch. Rivers in sales was very knowledgeable and helpful. The installation crew very professional. Shopped a couple other places before I decided on Benson Stone - the price was basically equal, but the service was second to none! The final product and installation crew were stellar - I don't write reviews very often, but the entire process was beyond what I expected and my kitchen is the envy of my neighbors - Thanks to Rivers and the entire crew at Benson - you guys are world class!

Could not be happier with every facet of the process.

The men removed our wood burner and put it in the garage, hooked up the gas line, and installed the insert. They did a quick and professional job.

Installer do good work, but can't clean up after them self. If you point out something that we didn't like they got a attitude with us. Using a marker to cover up marks on the new floor because they would scratch the floor with their own tools. And benson mgr of installer Tyler argue with us because we were not satisfy. Had them come out with factory rep. of flooring and there sale person and installer total of 8 time. And still I have marks on floor from installer. Spend over 9k and will not go back for anything.

The laminate flooring was a disaster. I love the look but the install was terrible. I had to get them back out about six times to fix the mistakes they made. These include gouging a board and trying to cover it up, transitions being way off and overall terrible work. The tile was perfectly installed by other workers. The customer service was awful and I had to hound them to come out and fix anything. They kept saying that they'd "make it right" but they never did.

From the beginning help from Tracey in selecting carpeting, to the final installation, our experience at Benson Stone was excellent. Tracey could answer all our questions about the latest features of wall to wall carpeting, there was a prompt appointment for measuring and evaluating the room, and Jeff and his crew worked right on schedule with the removal of old carpeting, installing new pad and carpeting, and thoroughly cleaning up, everyone was polite, pleasant, efficient and the result is perfect. We are very pleased.

I have exclusively shopped for home furnishings at Benson Stone Company for approximately 10 years. It all started when I was shopping for a grandfather clock. A pleasant, energetic and knowledgeable furniture salesperson/designer (Donna) approached me. She helped me pick the most grand and beautiful clock. I have not seen another one that I like better! Then, she helped me furnish my entire condominium. Since I have sold the condominium and I am furnishing a home twice the size of my condominium. The furniture that Donna has chosen for both homes is unique (often 1 of a kind) and impressive.

Being a decorator, Donna, has a gift for making every room beautiful and flow with the remainder of the house. People enter my home, their lower jaw drops and they become silent (speech-less) and gaze. I have been told by several people, that I have one of the most unique and impressive homes in Rockford.. All of the complements should go to Donna!

Donna is extremely creative. I refer to her as my exterior decorator also. She is the mastermind behind my deck and landscaping ideas. Donna is only a phone call away and makes house calls. After 10 years, I consider Donna as one of my friends.

Though Donna, I have met several other knowledgeable personnel at Benson Stone. One of the most noteworthy is Jeannie (granite and window furnishing salesperson and designer). Jeannie is very talented and fabulous to work with. She has made many of my unique granite and window furnishing dreams possible.

Other helpful Benson Stone personnel include: Bill (flooring expert), Larry (furniture sales manager), Colleen (furniture salesperson/designer), Chris (granite fabricator), Eric (granite installer), Tyler (billing) and many others. Because of my multiple purchases, the owner Andy Benson, knows me by name.

I will not shop at any other furniture stone in Rockford, IL. Thank you, Donna and Benson Stone for making my previously owned condominium and my current home beautiful!

Terrible customer service. Salesman did not return phone calls and the install was a nightmare.
The first installer tracked soot on the carpet, then went on to explain that he couldn't install the stove with the parts they gave him and the chimney fitting would need additional parts that we would have to pay for. While inspecting the chimney, he left black finger marks on the ceiling. The installer was asked to leave until we could get straight answers about exactly how the stove would be installed and the real cost. We were left with soot on the carpet, finger marks on the ceiling and damage to the stove pipe.
The salesman was called and he explained that the installer was confused and that the stove should be installed exactly how it was originally explained. Benson's could not be inconvenienced to do an install on the weekend so we had to wait several more weeks until they could fit us in. (The didn't seem concerned about our frustration or damage to our property)
The second installer was much better. The first thing he did was cover the entry way and carpet. They also sent two installers which was absolutely necessary. There is no way one person could do an install by themselves so I do not know why they only sent one installer the first time.
Overall a very unpleasant experience and an inconvenience with multiple days off work to accommodate Benson's schedule.

Work was done on schedule and efficiently during a 4 hour period ( not including plumbing hook up by Boomer Plumbing.) Don't have suggestions for improvements. Actual Granite slabs were layed out and displayed for us before final cutting so we could see exactly the seams and cut outs, then approve the layouts.

We were happy with them. They are very well known in the community. There were several different crews, one for the kitchen, one for the bathroom and one downstairs but not done at the same time. They left the home livable after work but they couldn't finish most of the stuff in a day except for the bathroom. They were right on time.

Between Benson and my General Contractor, my whole Kitchen from demolition of the old kitchen to my new kitchen was 3-1/2 weeks. Everything happened on time and without surprises. It was a truly amazing process to watch. My decision to go with a local company (Benson) and a local contractor was the best decision I made. I didn't go to Benson at first because of my perception that they were expensive. The contractor I found suggested that I look there and I was happy I did. The have solutions for every price range. What we got was right in-line with pricing we had from Home Depot and I feel we got a better product.

In addition to supplying product, Benson Stone provided design expertise to make everything work . Building/remodeling is a bumpy road but I could rely on them to address my concerns (sometimes required back flips) ! I am glad that I avoided the big boxes because my project required some "hand holding" and in the end did not have a cost penalty attached to it.

We were greeted promptly by salesperson who was not distracted by phone calls, etc. Helped us select granite for kitchen. We were escorted to granite storage area to select the slab or granite we wanted. While in the storage area, we spotted a unique slab of granite and spontaneously decided to purchase that slab for our bathroom. (We had discussed changing the bathroom countertop, but had only committed to the kitchen prior to visiting the granite storage area.) We placed a down payment on granite for the bathroom, in addition to the granite for the kitchen. The granite was to be cut, delivered, and installed in two weeks from purchase. Approximately one week after purchase, the salesperson notified by phone that the company changed their mind and didn't want to sell us the granite for the bathroom. We were informed, though, that we could come back to the store and select a different style. The salesperson was not the one who made this decision, only the one to deliver the bad news! After a few telephone exchanges, the salesperson informed us that the company would indeed sell us the granite that we had selected. To save money, we elected to remove the original countertops ourselves. The new granite counters arrived to our home on time. It was installed by two gentlemen who explained granite installation and care in detail. If not for the non-professional call that the company did not want to sell us the granite that we had paid for, then changing their mind (for our benefit), I would promote this company.
