The quality of workmanship extremely poor. The clock doesn't function properly even after he came out three times to adjust the problem. He also destroyed the finish on the gold metal which is on the front of clock. He didn't have the brains to test the cleaning chemical before applying it. The clock now operates very poorly...it doesn't always chimes. I'm looking for another clock repair person. Rockford, Illinois doesn't have a good quality repair shop anymore. The good ones have retired or have died. My beautiful Howard Miller Clock functioned far better before Dave touched it.
I hired him because he was on Angie's List. Angie's List does not give good recommendations. I haven't paid for this subscript for the past 3 years because for it.

"I am very surprised by this review. I am always professional and go out of my way to make things right. If the problems could not have been resolved I always give a refund. The clock solution that all clock repairs use will strip the lacquer off the movement plates. Nothing can be done about this if you want the movement cleaned. $50 of the $200 was for pickup and delivery. This was a wall clock."

Our grandfather clock had been stopped for a long time. When we tried to start it again, it would not stay working. Did a quick search on Angie's List and found Dave listed with great reviews. He took the clock mechanism back to his shop for cleaning, bushings and oiling. A week later, he had our clock up and running again. He did a wonderful job of bringing our grandfather clock back to life.

I had an old Grandfather clock I inherited from my Mother. It quit working and I didn't know anything about it. I called David and he was very helpful. He cleaned and oiled it and told me how to take care of it and now it works great !
