Although the quality of the work appears to be good, the site was not left in an acceptable condition ( roofing paper and shingles in the bushes etc.) We also ended up with a nail in our tire as well and found a nail in our neighbors driveway .
The largest problem was with the professionalism of the owner. After we negotiated a price for the work that was to be done, had a signed contract and the work began, the owner (when we said we were going to recycle the gutters) offered to assist us in recycling our copper gutters which would have resulted in a $300-400 return to us. When everything was done, said owner decided that he should keep the extra money as he felt we "beat him down on the price". He refused to return my calls however when my husband called he promised to put a check in the mail. Over a month later there is still no check. He has not answered any calls since.
UPDATE: The gutters he had installed later began to have leaks in them because they were not pitched correctly
