Mark is an extremely competent designer. He's so easy to work with. Solves problems easily and quickly. I would highly recommend him!

Construction began on 4/8/2013
Within the first month the shell of the kitchen was removed, all new electrical and plumbing was installed and the hardwood floor was installed, stained, and sealed.
In the second month the cabinets, countertops, and appliances were installed
All that remains is the installation of the tile backsplash, overhead lights, under-counter lights, and the final seal coats on the floor.

We were very happy with Bambi's service and all of the items which she helped us to secure and would certainly hire her and Mark Menna again if the occasion arises.

We recently built a new home and Mark Menna Designs provided all the cabinetry. We originally started with a different firm but they were not responsive to our needs. Bambi Alexander of Mark Menna was recommended by our architect and contractor based on their past experience with her. She did a great job designing our cabinets. She studied our architectural drawings and worked with us to understand what look and functionality we were striving for. She incorporated everything we wanted into the plans creating beautiful and unique cabinets. While having an understanding of the big picture, she also paid attention to every detail. While her job was to design and oversee the cabinets, she was also very helpful with recommendations and guidance in the selection of other items such as tile, countertops, lighting and color schemes which were coming from other subcontractors. The installer she recommended did a great job. He was fast and neat. The follow up and fine tuning we've received has been a nice bonus. For example, our drawer glides that were adjusted after installation have again been adjusted now that the drawers are full and carrying a different weight. We had a positive experience resulting in very high quality cabinets, that add to the beauty and value of our home.

I would say overall it went well. The designer was very good and could decipher properly what type of kitchen I wanted and planned a very efficient one for the space I had. She advised on colors and what goes nicely with my choice of cabinets. She stayed with the project to the end. This was a big project and it didn't go with out some glitches. Our designer was willing and prompt to rectify any of the problems. I am pleased with the outcome.

Mark Menna Designs was a complete pleasure to work with on our kitchen remodel. They are professional full service kitchen designers, who truly care about customer satisfaction. We worked with Mark the owner, as our designer who is creative, while placing the utmost attention to every detail. Jason and other staff members were also always helpful. The original kitchen was built in 1991, but looked like it was stuck in the 1980 s. Our goal was to create a kitchen that was upscale and traditional, with an old world flare. It was also important to us to make maximum use the space. In the end, our goal was reached with the collaboration of Mark Menna and our general contractor, who have a long professional relationship. Their open communication and respect for one another helped the project to go smoothly. The results exceeded our expectations and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone, without reservations.

Our experience was extremely positive. We would (and have, already) highly recommend Mark Menna Designs. Before contacting our designer we had many ideas on how we thought our kitchen space could be laid out, but by the time we had finished consulting with her, the design she provided us was better than what we could have imagined. Our kitchen was completed exactly on schedule and looks amazing. We did use a general contractor recommended by Mark Menna Designs and were very pleased that we chose to go that route. We completely gutted the kitchen and bath, which exposed unexpected issues in the walls and floors, in some cases affecting the original design. Our designer worked closely the the GC through the entire process to make necessary adjustments to the kitchen and bath plan to accommodate these issues. The proper installation of the cabinets requires straight walls and proper preparation. Our designer was on-site for our project many times to make sure everything was just right.

While I think they have great ideas and know the cabinet business well, we were disappointed overall with our experience. The firm and the cabinet maker seem to be very over-booked, resulting in many, many errors, delays and mix-ups on our custom cabinetry. While in the end most of the errors and problems were resolved, it took a great deal of effort and eventually withholding payments to get the final product. Perhaps they work better when the cabinet maker is not so swamped, or when they are in charge of the entire project themselves.
