Jacek does fantastic work. He refinished 20 year old engineered wood floors. He is honest, fair, and hardworking and we recommend without reservation. An absolute pleasure to work with, prompt, responsive, reliable. The floors far exceeded our expectations of what he could get out of them.

Jacek and his son did a wonderful job. Initially he went over every detail with us. He did everything we expected and left everything clean when he left. We were out of the house while the work was done and they even took out our garbage and recyclables on garbage day. We are very pleased with our new floors.

Jacek and team did an excellent job and you can really tell they put a lot of pride into their work !!

Overall knowledge of wood floors and the attention to detail of the job itself were outstanding. All non-work areas were protected and we see no stain splashes on existing baseboards or quarter-rounds that were left in place during the job. Jacek even provided assistance with a furnace issue! We'll definitely rehire Jacek and his son for any future wood floor needs.

Jack came to an apartment building where I needed to have the floors refinished. He was able to refinish the floors on one unit but the existing floors in another were in real bad shape. Jack suggested it would be much more cost effective to put premium vinyl flooring instead of trying to repair or replace the existing floor. The price was very reasonable. Jack did a great job! He showed up on time and the workmanship was outstanding. The unit floors look fantastic. Jack was a great professional and the experience was positive.

Over the course of about 1 year and a half, I have used Jacek on 3 of my properties: (2) 2 bedroom apartments and (1) 3 bedroom apartment. For each unit, the floors were sanded, stained and finished with several coats of polyurethane. Jacek's professionalism and quality of work was amazing! His timely with his communication and always able to be reached. For each property, he provided a reasonable and fair quote. Always on time and always met his deadlines. He was able to coordinate around other contractors that were also working on the units as well. Clearly a diamond in the rough. Looking forward to using him for my other units! Thanks again!

More than a craftsman, Jacek is an artist! His repair of our damaged wood flooring is magnificent. So much so, I can't tell where the repair begins or ends -- it's that seamless. If you're looking for a true professional, this is your guy!

I've had many, many subcontractors come through my home over the last few years to help with the refinishing of our purchased foreclosure.  Out of all of them, Jack at JW Flooring Corp has been the most professional and has done the best work.  He turned a complete train wreck 3-seasons room into a shiny, spotless floor that you could eat off of.  I couldn't believe me eyes.  Hands down, it was the best work that was ever completed at our home.  Very, very, very pleased.  I wouldn't hesitate one second to bring him back for more work!
 

I found JW flooring on Angie's list and called Jacek and one other company. Jacek was able to come up to take a look at the floors and promptly gave us an estimate. Jacek refinished our red oak hardwood floors.  They were done beautifully. The floors in the 1955 house had never been refinished and had significant wear. He was able to start the job earlier than I had even requested originally and He completed the job in 4.5 days which was so quick in my opinion. We removed our shoe moldings to save a little of his time and our money. Jacek is professional and punctual. His experience and attention to detail is evident. People have remarked that they thought the floors were newly installed. I highly recommend JW flooring.
I even texted him about a question a month or so later about a friends flooring issue and he called me back the same day to give me advice! So helpful! That was above and beyond! Thank you so much!

We chose a very popular color, so there was a long wait for the materials.  Jacek started a few days after they arrived and finished well under the time we had expected.  He's very dependable and always arrived on time.  He stayed late on a Friday to finish and clean up, and since the lighting was poor, he returned Saturday morning to do the touch-ups.  At that time, he also gave us very detailed instructions on the care of the floor.
 
We had our walls painted a few months before we hired Jacek, so he warned me that there would probably be some marks on the walls that are unavoidable.  These were minimal and most of them easily washed off.  The rest required only a light, paint touch-up. While doing the touch-up, I was able to get a closer look at his work, and he really is a perfectionist.
He even got rid of many, many squeaks in our floor.  We were so pleased.  We can walk down the hallway without waking up the whole house!! 
I highly recommend Jacek.  The floors look amazing!!!  We would definitely hire him again.

Jac was very polite and did a wonderful job with a lot of attention to detail. He had some obstacles due to our kitchen layout and really seemed like a master craftsman. His price was lower than the competition, in some cases much lower and completed the job in one day. It looks fantastic and we are very happy we chose him to do our kitchen floor.

For starters, the floors look beautiful and I am very happy with the outcome.  I consider the Jerry (the owner) to be a master at his work including the carpentry work he did.  As I mentioned above, this was a very large job.  I received four estimates, but Jerry was the only one willing to work on the railings and trim.  Others noted that the railings (and trim) were a job for a carpenter.  There was one glitch that keeps me from giving JW an overall "A+" rating, but Jerry made good on the problem.  It is a bit complicated to explain, but the stain and varnish were painted on to the railings to hide imperfections in the way they were prepared to receive the stain.  Although the stain color was the same as the floors (Coffee Brown), the railings looked almost black. Jerry agreed that the color was not right and re-sanded all of the railings and reapplied the stain correctly.  The result was that they now match perfectly.  So Jerry made good on the problem and the wood looks beautiful.  The only negative was that the rework extended the time line.  So my rating is an "A-"

Polite, courteous, clean and conscientious.
Did a nice job and cleaned up after himself.
Goes out of his way to throw trash out etc.

Included provisions in the estimate for work that I could do myself to save money.
Suggested ideas for camouflaging water stains and mismatched wood species that turned out great.  Worked long days to ensure that project was completed on time.
Would not hesitate to use again.

He was thorough and professional during the entire process. The floor turned out very well, actually better than I anticipated. I would recommend him highly.

We were remodeling the main level of our split level home, going for an open floor plan design.  We replaced all the flooring with new red oak hardwood floors throughout except for a small tiled area at the front door. 
We chose JW Flooring based on research through Angie?s List.  We initially contacted Jacek, shared floor plan drawings via e-mail.  He provided a high level quote with just the drawings, which was extremely competitive.  When we had determined he was our most likely choice, he visited to scope out the job in detail.  We liked how thorough and detailed he was, he spent as much time as we needed to answer any questions.
Jacek holds to very high standards.  When the flooring arrived, it was during drywalling.  He provided detailed  instructions to allow the flooring to acclimate, but be protected from the rest of the construction.  We really appreciated his attention to detail, keeping us informed regarding progress, and when we could and could not walk on the new floor. It took about 7 days to complete the job.
His professionalism, knowledge of his craft,  reasonable pricing and our beautiful new flooring make him a very easy vendor to recommend.

You will NEVER get a more knowledge person about woods, floor surfaces, finishes, excellent estimates of time and over all pricing.
BUT they are 'choosy' about where they do their work; if they dont' feel their is anything they can do to make the client happy. they will not take the job.  I respect this...

Jacek was recommended to us by our neighbor, who is a contractor and has worked with Jacek in the past. He described Jacek as try honest and very detail-oriented. Both descriptions were accurate. Jacek came out to our house on more than one occasion to discuss the job. At the time of the estimate we were unsure whether we would stain the floors of not. Jacek was very patient; he suggested that we put in the floors and then test out a few different stains on the premises so we could gauge the look of the stains in context. We ended up not staining the floors; we went for a natural look. We signed a contract with Jacek shortly after his second site visit, and a few weeks later, he was installing the floors. He came with one assistant and the job took about 6 days to complete. I could not be happier with the result. The two worked incredibly hard, and the result is absolutely beautiful. We are constantly complimented on our floors. Jacek is a true craftsperson who takes a lot of pride in his work. He is very knowledgeable about the ins and outs of wood, and he has excellent taste--subtle and refined. In addition to the quality of the work, the price was very reasonable and Jacek was always willing to help us stay within our budget.

Jacek was more interested in our house than anyone else who came over to give an estimate.  He spent enough time looking around and measuring to know everything that might come up during this project.  We were having an entry door replaced at the same time which would be opening over the new floors.  He made sure the floors would be protected from the elements as well as the door installation.  Overall it was a great experience and we will certainly use JW Flooring again next time.

As mentioned above I have no complaints and was very satisfied with the quality of the work.

It was a pleasure working with Jacek from start to finish. He was extremely professional and responsive, addressing any concerns and questions immediately. He  kept me informed about how the project was progressing.
 The quality of the work was outstanding. I'm delighted with my floors. In addition, the prep and clean up made the process much easier for me.

Put simply, I have never been as happy with a home service contractor as I have been with Jacek.  If he did plumbing, masonry work, and electrical, I would probably never hire anyone else to do any work on our home.
When we initially decided to put hardwood floors in our house, we had 4 contractors- all highly rated on Angie's List- quote the work.  All 4 pulled up one section of carpet to look at the sub-floor underneath.  Only Jacek noticed that this section of sub-floor was damp- even taking multiple moisture readings throughout the floor and into the crawlspace to help find the source of the problem.  The whole time, he was not pushy about getting the problem solved, nor was he elitist about only working on good sub-floor.
After I fixed the problem with the sub-floor we hired him to do the work.  He started on time, finished on time, and managed to keep the surrounding house clean and relatively dust free without using the commercialized "dust containment systems" which slow the work down and add significantly to the cost (we know as we had other contractors which quoted the dust containment systems).
His work was, so far as I can tell, impeccable, with great attention to detail.  The finish on the new floors is beautiful and uniform, and the edges and baseboard work is very well done - cuts are made well and the joints are just the right amount of tight.
We were out of the house for 4 days while the work was done.  The water-based finish we used was Basic Streetshoe.  The first night we were back in the house, there was some odor (about as strong as a recently painted room) and we woke up with sore throats (couldn't tell if it was the VOC of the finish or perhaps residual dust).  However, on day 2 the odor was gone and no more sore throats.  I have been very happy so far with the water based finish and would recommend it.
