Doudys Co LLC

We used Doudy's Co for two different big projects. One was total re-furbishing of my kitchen and knocking out walls. It was a very large project. I also had him do my bathroom and they did a beautiful job on both. The price ended up being huge because this is a very old house and they took the walls out, the floors out, everything. It was taken down to the studs and then we ended up having to have some major drainage job. They had to do some major supporting of the house. This is a 100-year-old house we have and the kitchen had not been re-furbished since the 40s. Martin was wonderful. He held my hand through the whole project. It was about a two-and-a-half month project. He was on top of everything. He was like my big brother, my dad, everything rolled into one. He went with me to buy my cabinet and he was concerned about every detail. I just really lucked out. I found out about him through somebody. My husband is a lawyer, so they kind of know that, so they kind of watched their peas and ques a little bit with that. I could call him at anytime, which I tried never to do, but he was available to me at all times, on Saturdays.  We went shopping together on Sundays. I said I hope your wife is not going to get angry. He says, "No! She understands this is my business." I trust Martin to take care of my dogs too. I do not trust everybody to do so. He has dogs too and we would have long conversations about our dogs.

He is a general contractor and hires everyone to do the job. He can do just about anything that you want but not the entire house construction. He does everything in the house like new kitchens, errands, basements and everything. The first project that we used him for was for the bathrooms; he built a new bathroom, remodelled the second floor bathroom, took it down to the studs, knocked up all the walls and the floors and constructed the entire bathroom like it was brand new. He did a wonderful job and that is why we hired him again. He was wonderful. He did the same thing for the kitchen this year as well. He knocked all the walls and floors out and reconstructed the kitchen from scratch. There were new things that had to be done because of the codes, because the house is 100 years old. I spent around $40,000; but that was only because of the code standards. We also discovered that we needed plumbing, basements and all the things that happen when we deal with an old house. It was not his fault, but the house needed it desperately. I cannot tell you how wonderful he is and I would recommend him to everyone.
