Jojo and Charlie called before and met me at location one when they said they would be there. They were professional and helpful. The move went very well. They took great care of my furniture and were careful placing it in the new home.

Excellent! The movers were on time, prepared, professional, and efficient.

Prior to the move an estimator came to our home to review the job and give us an estimate of the cost, which ended up being lower than actually estimated. She followed up by phone a few days prior to the move to review the plan for the day. On the day of the move, 3 men and a truck showed up right on time. Gary, Mike and Chris maintained their friendliness and professionalism throughout the day despite the cold weather and all the heavy pieces they were required to load into the truck, which ended up nearly bursting at the seams with our "stuff." We would definitely use this company again.

Job was on time, they wrapped the furniture, and moved it with no problems.

Ok. The company seems more geared toward whole house moving and priced accordingly with little flexibility. Workers did a good job and will get better with more experience.

It was just outstanding service. The people were especially accommodating due to us having to change the dates three times and Laura and Kate were just great.  They were very professional and very easy to work with.  Sean and Bryant were the movers and they took care of everything.

Our move was about 30 miles and the only appliance that was moved was an apartment size refrigerator located in our basement family room. Our basement has a steep staircase with a support post right nearby so moving furniture or other heavy or sizable objects is difficult. We also had a large amount of particle board office furniture which movers will not guarantee to survive a move. That being said, they did a great job. All of the office furniture arrive unscratched and unbroken, and the basement refrigerator, couch and love seat were moved without a scratch to them or to the walls.
What impressed me the most was how polite and how fast they worked. They literally never stopped, and worked so well as a team that we assumed that they always worked together, when in fact they don't.
Best of all they took an hour less than the estimate, and we added items not in the estimate.

We contacted Two Men and a Truck based on friends' recommendations. They offered several options for providing a move inventory to provide a quote for services. We chose to provide our inventory using their form. After we received the quote, we contacted them to make some adjustments, and received a revised quote. They were available on our move date, and the quote met our expectations, so we contracted their services. They anticipated needing two trucks and four men, and 7 1/2 hours.
On moving day, they were scheduled to arrive between 9:00 AM and 9:30 AM, and they were on time. They requested a walk-through to see what needed to be moved. We showed them some items that were not being moved. As soon as that was done, they were laying out protective mats and started wrapping items in shrink wrap. Two hours later, the trucks were loaded! They took a lunch break, and we got to the new house.
After 30 minutes, they arrived and immediately prepared for unloading. They put more protective mats down and took a quick tour to see where various rooms were. We gave each room a name (master bedroom, office, etc.), and only had to tell them the names once. We then simply directed traffic and guided them to place furniture in the appropriate rooms in the appropriate locations. Unloading took a little more than two hours.
The only things that were on our inventory that they didn't move were some framed pictures. They would have moved them, but they suggested we put them in the car instead. We didn't have any issue with their recommendation - and are confident the pictures would have been well cared for.
They guys were very professional and polite, seemed to enjoy their work, and took care with our items and our homes. They hustled, and were constantly moving or carrying something.
Overall we were very satisfied with Two Men and a Truck in Plainfield.

First team came to the house around 9am. Walked through house and reviewed items to move. For approximately 25 items estimate was 8.25 hours. Movers were unproffessional. Estimator quoted to leave clothes in drwers, but the movers wanted them removed. This added to the move time as the house is leased as a rental property, and new tenants were coming the next day. We had to pack and take these items to the new house ourselves as to not add even more time and money to the move. Movers would not move the treadmill from the basement. Complained the items were heavy, and did not reassemble moved items. I toldthem not to reassemble as this would have added 3 hours to the move. Some pressed board items were broken, but and quot;they were not covered from there insuranceand quot; policy which I had signed. This team was very unproffessional as well. Called the company the next day. Managedr sent out a second team that moved the treadmill after I dissassembled it along with a couple other items. They were actually very good compared to the first team, and in general as I have moved before. There was no charge for the second team, however theybasically just finished the quoted items in the first place. The first team had gone $300.00 over the quoted price. Ultimately the company will refund me 15 minutes of service.

The team arrived on time and got to work right away. Their personalities were complimentary to one another and they were all three very professional and responsive from the start, all the way through to the end. They were very careful and helpful. There were some turns and curves we couldn't imagine they could make and yet - they did and with no damage.

The experience with them was pretty good. They marred the furniture and didn't take the drawers out of the dressers so it caused them to lose their balance and they scratched one of the pieces of furniture.

We originally hired Two Men and a Truck just to move our belonigngs to our new residence. During the packing, my wife broke her foot. I called TMT and asked if the movers could help us finish packing. Sure enough, Brandon, Earl, and Rudy arrived on time and with extra packing supplies. Earl and Rudy got right to work loading the truck while Brandon helped my finish the packing. It took a little longer than we anticipated but the extra help we got was outstanding. These guys were workhorses. I didn't have to watch over them or worry about how many smoke breaks they took. They really helped make a bad situation better.

We had them come out and they made errors on the original order, they had not scheduled the truck for a return trip to and we had to negotiate with the driver when he was already there. We payed for a third guy to come out and it seemed like he was just standing around, the space in the truck that they brought was completely misused and I felt like we had to suggest to them to keep working. They damaged an antique desk and a limited edition grandfather clock and a wall as well and when I called to ask about something I thought might have been left in the moving truck they never even got back to me.

Movers showed up during the window we agreed on when the move was booked. They were super careful to pack up breakables like glass table tops so they were safe, and they shrink wrapped dressers and chests so nothing fell out. They were careful during the load in too, making sure they didn't break a light fixture in the front hallway when they moved a big, heavy couch. I really liked how the guys kept things moving and didn't slack off, plus they all had a great attitude. I also liked the intake on their web site, the form had lots of items that you could check off and had spaces to add things that weren't on the form. The call I received after the web site form was great. I was so glad to say I wanted 3 guys on move day, and there was no hemming and hawing from the woman I spoke with, who was also friendly and upbeat. I wanted 3 guys, I got 3 guys, and that amount of people worked perfectly. I look forward to using this company for my next move. p.s. - Don't be concerned about going over the estimate. There were some VERY unwieldy pieces of furniture to be moved into tight quarters, and that added time on the unloading end. Plus we had a rain delay, which they were very nice to count as "downtime" so I wasn't charged for it.

It went excellent. They put down runners. They were polite. One piece of furniture got damaged and they came out within a week to fix it. I was pleased with the experience.

They were very good about making sure I was happy with everything before the left. They were recommended to me by someone we knew. The price was good for the quality of there work.
