When I called to request service in the morning, Vicki said they were booked but she would try to fit me in and call me back.  By 3pm or so I hadn't gotten a call back, but shortly Jeff showed up anyway.  So not getting a call back and not knowing they were even coming out that day was the only problem with the whole service.  Jeff apologized and was very professional.   He had the a/c fixed within a half hour and they only charged a $90 trip charge.  He said the trip charge includes the first half hour of labor, which is not the case with most of their competitors.   The other place I called had a $99 trip charge that did not include any labor, so there was some savings off the bat.   They were very professional and I will use them again and would recommend them.  They are professional, prices are competitive, and they didn't try to get extra work that I didn't need.   You can't really ask for more...

Smoothly.  My husband and I are building our dream home and our builder works with Kolar for all his builds.  We are the type of people who ask a lot of questions and want several options, and then change our mind at the last minute.  We're really nice but also, kind of a pain in the a**.  We never had any problems with Jim Kolar or his workers. They were always very accommodating.

I've used Kolar Heating and Cooling for several years to check and tune up our heating and cooling systems twice yearly. They've been prompt and professional and have never tried to sell me anything that wasn't needed. This most recent call was for a repair because the burner on our gas furnace wouldn't kick on and the house was getting cold. I phoned them around 7:30 a.m., and within an hour Mr. Kolar arrived to make repairs. He found that the hot surface ignitor had failed and needed to be replaced. He removed the faulty part, showed it to me, explained how it works and why it needed to be replaced. He installed a new one and immediately the burner was firing. I've always been satisfied with Kolar's services and I highly recommend them.

Misdiagnosed heating problem on first service call and would not make any adjustment on the cost of the second service call. Second technician seemed inexperienced and needed to make multiple phone calls to the office for assistance in the board installation. Second service call took twice as long as quoted. I called the owner to discuss the double billing and an office representative called me back with incomplete information. When I asked that the owner call me directly, he never did.

Overall they are ok.

GOOD SERVICE. THE WORK THEY DID WAS GOOD. WE FOUND THEM TO BE VERY COURTEOUS. THEY WERE ALWAYS ON TIME AND FINISHED THE JOB PROMPTLY.
