It was a terrible experience from the beginning: They had to access the common area that they were contracted to work on by moving equipment and materials across the property adjacent to our town home. They were non responsive to my requests to take appropriate care not to damage our property. They ran construction equipment across our driveway in every direction. They ignored my request to cover the driveway with plywood to avoid damaging the concrete. They completely ignored me and told me that because they were hired by the townhouse association that I was NOT their customer and did not have to honor my concerns or requests. They damaged my driveway in several spots(chipping and scraping concrete). I have pictures to prove it. They NEVER cleaned up their mess during the project and made it a point to park their construction equipment as close to our patio as possible and their workers tracked mud and dirt across the patio(unnecessarily) for months. It was impossible to keep our floors clean because of the constant mess outside. They ripped out an outside electrical outlet and line (I saw them do it and have pictures to prove it.) Our entire building shook from the equipment they were operating. I asked them to slow down to reduce the vibration. They ignored me. The vibration knocked pictures off of the walls and damaged several pieces of expensive crystal in a curio cabinet. We had to take everything off of the walls until they finished. I had to ask them on multiple occasions to remove their equipment from our driveway so I could exit my garage. I attempted to talk to them on multiple occasions to reconcile this problem and they just ignored me. Matt Hively never responded to me. I would NEVER recommend Hively Landscaping to anyone.

Hively used heavy construction equipment(bobcats)across and adjacent to my property to access the work site. They did not take any precautions to avoid damaging my driveway. They never put plywood over the concrete to protect it(standard practice). They chipped and scraped the concrete. I took many photos of them in action. They blocked access to my garage and I had to hunt them down to move their equipment. They were here for weeks and never washed the mud off my driveway during the entire time they were here. They finally sent someone out to wash it after the project was done. I could not keep my floors clean because of the mess they created. They cut and tore out my outside electrical line and denied it even though I saw them do it. They were totally unresponsive to my requests to respect my property. I would never hire or recommend them.
