I liked that they returned my call right away.

They did a good job but it wasn't outstanding. The price was reasonable and they were there on time.

They did a great job. They arrived within the timeframe that they stated, found a malfunction with the system, and completed the job to our satisfaction!

After finding this company on angieslist, I emailed their website asking if they would be able to repair some of the stations on my lawn irrigation system. After about 10 days without a response, I called their number and left a similar message on their answering machine. I live about one half hour from their location, so I was hoping to at least hear that we were too far, or they could not perform the service for some reason. No response. I have used contractors from angieslist many times, but this one was a disappointment.

The sprinkler system was installed over 10 years ago by the previous owners. Now that the landscaping is fully in, the system was under sprinkling some areas and completely missing other areas. This past year I lost several bushes before I realized what was happening. Martin and his crew put in much taller heads to reach over the landscaping, different kinds of heads in some areas (sprayers rather than rotating heads) and completely rerouted heads in several zones. It took them 3 days to complete the work (one day they were only here a couple of hours due to thunderstorms). I believe it was more difficult than putting in a brand new system. What a difference it has made! Earlier in the summer I had Martin add a rain sensor to our system ($170). That has also been great especially with the amount of rain we've had this summer. I'm sure I will make up for the cost with the amount of money I save on not watering on rainy days. I've used Greenfield for several years now. My only "problem" is as their reputation grows, they are getting busier and busier so it takes a little longer to get them.

They did a good job isolating the issue with the pump and replaced it. They also resolved two major leaks we had with pipe in two other areas of the system. They worked hard and did clean work. They were careful to remove sod and replace it, so I did not have a mess later.

Not good. I called on a Friday and asked if they could install the valve for my sprinkler system. The man said he could be at my house in 3 hours. I said fine, but if he couldn't make it please call me the following Monday. They never showed up and never returned my call.

I contacted Greenfield after researching several options on 'Angie's List'; (August-16, 2008). Greenfield's website offers a 'Contact Form' that offers fields for 'contact information', 'requested services', etc. I cut and pasted a copy of my request for future reference; (below). Greenfield did not respond to my submittal. A copy of the 'Request for Quote' follows: "Learned of Greenfield via Angie's List. I have an in-ground irrigation system for my residence. The valve is located in the basement. I have three requests: What is the charge to perform the fall blow-out? Does Greenfield perform the annual valve certifications? Does Greenfield install equipment for lawn fertilizer, etc. through the irrigation system; (like rid-0-rust, etc.)? Residence is located in IL. Cell phone is ***-***-**** . I may not be able to answer during work hours, (meetings, etc.), but will respond to messages. Thank You!"

Came out same day to winterize system.

Greenfield did a very good job. They sprinkler system was installed according to the original plan and did not exceed to cost estimate. However, there was an issue during installation. The installation crew cut a buried cable for my Internet connection. (It appeared the city did not do a good job of marking the cable location.) Greenfield resolved the issue by immediately repairing the cable. After the installation I had to contact Greenfield to make adjustments for coverage. They responded quickly to resolve the issue. Greenfield provided a great service at a very reasonable price.

I called Martin on Thursday at 5 PM. He and a crew arrived the next morning at 9 AM. After quoting the work, he and his crew started immediately. They know what they are doing. He suggested sensible solutions to problems that I identified. He did not suggest things frivolously. They did the work quickly and finished by 2 PM. It was a lot of work. Trenching, etc. It works great. The quote as $600 for the work and materials I-pipe and heads). The new timer/controller was $250. I am very happy with the work they did.

They clearly knew what they were doing. Martin was great!

Owner followed up with a return call within 20 minutes of my initial call. On a day that was convenient for me (a few days later)we made an appointment to check my sprinkler system. The owner, Martin, came at the appointed time with another worker. They made an accurate assessment of the problem and stayed late to install three (3)new sprinkler heads and a pump.

Not only did they return my call the same day, they gave me a time they would come out the next day, and they arrived on time! They started my sprinkler system, repaired a leaking head, and added a head to the existing system. Their price was very reasonable.
