Roy is apparently very busy as he needed several days to come by and then didn't follow up as promised. When I called he told me his opinion of my floor and gave me a quote. He made it clear that the damaged areas would not go away completely but that he could make them look better. I hired him to do the whole house. The undamaged floors look great and gleam, but they didn't really need it. The water damaged and the worn areas frankly didn't look any better to me or my family members or my painter when they saw the floor. I'm not upset, I knew the areas weren't going to improve a lot, but I am disappointed. I do not think I would use again except to make undamaged floors look great when I go to sell a property. I will say I failed to bring the check over that day and they were super nice about letting me mail it the next day. Also they were very clean, and left good instructions on how to maintain the floors.

"Thank you for your feedback. We will use it to improve out communication when setting customer expectations in the future. Since we never met in person regarding the property as is my preference, I did my best to convey that the floors really needed a full sand. However, because this home was initially going to be an investment property (not owner occupied) we agreed to move forward with a Buff and Coat with the knowledge the damaged areas would improve a little yet that by doing this process, it would keep the vast majority of the floor from deteriorating. At the same time, were able to give most of the floor a very nice face lift."

His crew came in and did a great job completing the work at the agreed upon date and time. We had just finished painting our home and were concerned about our newly painted baseboard trim getting stain on them. Ray's Team took extra care in making sure to avoid any oversplash onto the baseboard trim. Highly recommend this service for the price. Thank you, Buff & Coat!

Ray was extremely polite and professional. Ray came over and explained exactly what I could expect from a buff and coat or refinish. I opted for refinish as the floors were pretty worn. The hard wood looks like new, it's gorgeous!

Ray was able to come over and provide an estimate within 24 hours of my request and we arranged for the work to be completed the following day.  Ray was very clear as to what could and could not be done with the floor with their "buff and coat" process.  While most of the nicks and scratches could be improved the deeper "gouges" could not be removed.  Bryan arrived right on time the next day and went to work right away. I pointed out some problem areas to him and he noted some himself which he thought could use a little extra TLC.  The whole process went very smoothly, took about 3 hrs to complete and I was told not to walk on it at all for about another 3-4 hours while the finish coat dried.  After that I could walk on the floor (in socks only) until the next day.  Furniture went back into the kitchen after 36 hours.  I am happy with the work they did - I now have the next best thing to a new floor.

The owner, Ray, came to my home and thoroughly explained the entire process.  He was able to measure and give me an estimate during his visit.  We were able to schedule the work to be done within a short period of time.  The gentleman who did the actual work came promptly and was able to finish his work in the predicted amount of time (8:30-1:30).  I really did not have any dust residue left on my furniture.  I was able to walk on the floor with stocking feet by 5:00 PM that afternoon.  It is not completely odorless, but by the next morning I no longer noticed it.  It would be comparable to the smell of a fresh coat of latex paint.
I appreciated that Ray followed up to make sure everything met my expectations.  I had researched this type of service on Angie's List and was very happy to find one that provided what I needed at a very good price.  I knew I did not need a complete "take down," so I was very happy with the "buff & coat" option.
Ray is very honest and direct, so I would recommend this service to anyone who would be looking for a good assessment of what currently exists and what is hoped for.
