Professional and helpful advice in response to insurance work required due to storm/animal damages. Completed complete tearoff completed on schedule.

Overall they work was fine and I felt they understood the job well. Initially they responded immediately to come out and do an estimate after I called. And in assessing the missing shingles they found minor waterproofing issues that left unchecked would have caused leaks in the future. I felt that was excellent. During the estimate (which was on a Tuesday or Wednesday) the owner and I discussed a timeline where he stated the work would be done late in the following week. In my effort to get a more specific date he kept saying probably late next week. I felt that he was saying next week but wasn't confident about doing the work later next week. So, I left it with him that he should simply contact me to let me know when they'd be out. I recognized late next week was not going to happen even though he said late next week. Late next week, no one showed up and after 2+ weeks of not hearing from this company to schedule my job, I called another roofing company who was scheduled to come out the following week to give me a new estimate. I assumed Best of Roofing decided not to do my job since it was so small that perhaps it was not worth their time. A day or two before the new estimator came out, 2 roofers from Best of Roofing showed up at my house one morning to fix my missing shingles. There was no call scheduling their work and I was asleep at the time they showed up. Luckily someone else was home to know that they came to do the work. The roofers who were there were curteous and professional in discussing with me what they were doing and in addressing a shingle that still looked odd to me, before completing their work. I always felt that Best of Roofing had the skills and knowledge to take care of my small problem. That was never the issue for me. I was very concerned about the lack of contacting me in order to schedule the work, especially since we discussed a date that was clearly (to me) not going to happen. I would have rather he said that with the wind storm we are swamped and it will be 2 weeks before we can get out here but we will contact you in a few days to let you know for sure, then actually CONTACTED ME! While I wanted my roof fixed asap, I did understand that after 70 mph winds, others had lots more damage than I did and had he told me what his situation was I would have accepted a longer wait time. Since he did not, I pressed for a more specific date than "late next week." Overall they did the work with no real quality problems that I can see, but if I ever needed any other roofing services, I would hesitate to contact them because I can't be sure this lack of customer contact is a one-time thing or a normal mode of operation for them. Since I have never needed a roofer in this area before, I was thinking that if all went well, then I would have an established relationship with a roofer to call if and when I need one in the future. So this review finds me conflicted. I felt the work was done well and for a fair price, but the lack of contact and keeping me informed makes me uncomfortable when considering them for potentially larger and more expensive work.

This company could serve as a model for all companies. Please place them high on your list of preferred companies.

A dumpster was placed in our driveway to contain the roof tear off. Care was taken not to damage the driveway. The roofers worked at a steady pace and kept the surrounding area of the home as clean as possible. I commend them on their workmanship. After the job was finished the roofers walked around the premise to make sure that all debris, (nails, wood, shingles, etc.) were picked up and removed.

They repaired any damage to the wood and re-shingled the house. They cleaned up extremely well and were great. I have and will continue recommending them to anyone!
