Personett Electric

Description of Work: Personett electric/ plumbing was picked by my general contractor to do the plumbing and electrical on my new house. He was extremely slow, went over the original bid of $37,500 and made multiple serious mistakes. He ended up only pigtailing cat5 and cable lines to 3 foot drops that didn't connect anywhere. He waited 6 months after approval and materials were in to put in the water line--at that time then cutting through a planted corn field and alfalfa field---costing me more money because of lost crop. He did not back fill anything. All the outlets and switches in the house spark. He installed my water softener incorrectly, put the clearly labeled "drain only" line back into the brine tank, which then overflowed on the backflush to flood my basement ruining the drywall. The main line to the house leaked and there was also a leak in the downstairs bathroom. Finally he said he was going to do the septic, never did it and then sent me a bill for the job, $7500.00. When I told him that these things needed to be corrected first and that he had not done the septic, he demanded payment and took out a mechanics lien on the house. Having no money left at this point I could not even afford the retainer for an attorney. the extra money went on the construction acct to get the lien lifted.
