Canceled service. They sent someone twice after cancelation and demand that I pay for their mistake.

I had an absolute horrible experience with Trugreen! Started off bad and ended even worse. I requested they call me before they came over for any service due to the fact I have inside/outside pets. And I didn't want my pets getting into any of the chemicals. That never happened. I called and reminded the person who answers the 800# that I must be called at least a couple hours before they show up for service. Well that didn't happen again for the 2nd go round. I called the 800# once again and asked that the local manager give me a call. Guess what? Nope that didn't happen either. And the kicker to this story is that they killed 2 of my bushes in my front yard. Of course I called that 800# again and requested to talk to a local manager again, and nothing. They sent the same guy who killed my bushes over to my house without letting me know he was coming. So now I have a stranger lurking around my house. I saw the truck and went out to talk to him. He said he'd send the manager and shrub expert over on that Thursday to take a look and talk with me. Well you know that didn't happen either. Some other guy came to my house that Wednesday without me being notified and once again I have a stranger lurking around my house. And this guy left me a crappy note telling me some BS. Didn't even bother to knock on my door and talk to me face to face. Once again called the 800#, but this time I cancelled my prepaid service. Then they had the audacity to call me to renew my service, not once but three times. I've had 2 other reputable companies come over to look at my dead bushes and they said it was from herbicide. That Trugreen used the wrong mixture of chemicals. One of these companies is a landscaping company so they were not trying to get my business. Horrible customer service and product. I will never use them again or refer anyone to use them.

Service went well. Had to request expay refund because I was over charged on my first application by about $20 over agreed pricing. My rep promptly took care of the issue after I contacted him. Kudos for promptly addressing the payment issue!

They do a good job for me.

It looks good. They were prompt. They were informative. They told me what they were doing and if I had any questions to ask them. They did good. The price is about average.

The weeds werent gone after the treatments so they came right out again to do another treatment, without any hesitation.

Ready to cancel services.   Twice they have carelessly left the backyard gate open.  We weren't aware and only realized after letting the dog out.   They don't however miss the opportunity to call us constantly to upsell services, sometimes 2-3 monthly.   Results are mixed.  Depsite the lack of rain and brown lawn, they keep spraying, stating the importance of feeding the lawn and controlling wees, yet after each mowing I find myself with the bottle of weedspray taking care of what they miss.

I contracted through TruGreen to have my front lawn fertilized and sprayed for weeds to keep up with the neighbors. At the onset of the contract, the front yard was relatively weed free and green. After two months of service, the front yard is now 75% dead and the few patches of green remaining are broadleaf weeds like clover and chickweed. I placed a call to customer service about a week after the first application and they sent out someone to spot treat the weeds. This had little to no effect. After a second complaint call, they promised a manager would come out to speak to me in person about the problems, but I got the same ineffectual spot treatment as before. I cancelled about three weeks after the second treatment, when my untreated backyard was lush and green and the front yard looked like a desert.

Tru Lawn performed all services according to the contract. We own two properties (duplex).  I did not use their service in 2011 for our rental property because they insisted our rental property was twice the size it really was because they (at first) refused to go by any measurement than the aerial survey of our property. They refused to comprehend that we had changed the footprint of the rental property when we built our custom duplex (one side being a small MIL home). Because of  Weed Lawns insistence of using the "map" instead of a tape measure, I choose not to use their services for what amounted to a postage stamp size yard. 
They did an average,although pricey, job the first year (weeds were never eradicated and barely controlled, even though I watered and mowed as told.
The second year (2012) I did get them to come down on the price for the rental property (it wasn't like they had to drive, or even move, their van); however, it was still very expensive.  But worth it  for me, had they done the job as promised.
Neither year were they able to eliminate or even control the weeds very well. I called them back out to spray several times to no avail. Last summer they managed to spray a broad leaf weed control on my newly established peony row. Of course they denied any implication on my part even though the damage was extremely coincidental to the time they sprayed and the obviously ensuing plight of the peonies.
Last month Tru Lawn broke the last straw, by sending me an unsolicited notice stating I was automatically renewed as a "valued" customer.  I was never called, nor did I ever sign an agreement for automatic renewal of their services.  Because of the auto renewal they have lost my business.

They did a weed and seed application and this went on well.  The price was fair.

They killed the flowers when they were trying to kill the bugs. I didn’t like that. They showed up whenever they got good and ready. They would show up more often than they should, and charge. The price wasn’t so good. They left a bill and I never saw them. We canceled them. I probably wouldn’t use them any more.

I contacted Tru Green Online to obtain a service quote. Within 1 minute a salesman contacted me. I asked for cost information so I could review it that evening with my husband but he kept trying to sell the service to me rather than answering my questions driectly as I asked. When I asked him for a phone number to contact him regarding my decision he would only set up a time for him to call me back. We scheduled a time for the following busness day and I thought I would be done with Tru Green for the day. I was called by 4 additional salesmen that day! By the end of the day I was extremely irritated that so many different prople had called me (while I was at work) that I demanded to be removed from their call list and I will never contact them again. The last salesman had the nerve to ask me why I no longer was interested in their service. Cost: Their quote was very overpriced for the service they provide. I had also mentioned that my neighbor used their service to see if they would reduce the price since they would already be working in the area but they would not. Tru Green quoted me $25 over what my neighbors paid per treatment.

They're coming again May 16th.
I switched from another lawn provider to TruGreen. They gave me a very fair price for both the lawn and the tree services.

I don't like them. It was a waste of money. It seemed like to me instead of taking care of what they were suppose to they found other things to do. The price was okay at the time but the quality and professionalism was terrible. I will not use them again in the future. I just take care of it myself now.

They would call me and leave me a message that I’m scheduled. They don’t have an exact time of when they come but if they fix me a time then they would be there. They come out several times for 5 or 6 of applications throughout the season to do weed control and other things. I really don't have much interaction with them. They just come at some point during the day and put down the application and leave it, and they leave a note on my door of what they did. I have had good overall experience with them and my yard looks pretty good.

We’ve had no problems at all.  They always give me the dates of service ahead of time.  I appreciate that because I work out of my home and I like to know they’re out there. It also allows me to put my dog in the house.  They knock and tell me they are there and they leave a note on the door when they’re done.  They‘re courteous and talk to you if you’re home to tell you what you need to have done.  They offer additional services but they’re not pushy. It's probably cheaper other places but I know I'm getting good quality and I'm getting good customer service.  That makes the price more affordable.  You know they're not watering down the fertilizer and we see that what they're doing to our lawn is working.  If it's not, they will come out and readjust and do something different. 

They were not exceptional at anything, but they were okay. We have had others out who have done the same thing; then some others who did not come back. I had weeds come back after a treatment in the spring so they came back and sprayed again. I will use them again in the future.
