"[Member Name Removed], this is interesting that you first complain to social media. If you tried to contact us and express your displeasure, I apologize, I didn’t get the message. I did research on your problem because we take complaints very seriously. The Kinetico systems are some of the best in the world and we are proud to represent them. We have our information kept in a database called SalesForce in order to have an audit trail of history with customers. I understand Patrick told you your unit was covered under warranty and it came with a 5-year warranty. That is true. It was installed on 7/13/2017 and you also received a MacGuard filter at that time for your drinking water. First, I spoke to the rep that sold you the unit, who was not fired, he is a stay at home dad now. He remembers you and said “Fitness person, but on a budget. He didn’t care about chlorine, even though I told him Morton has very high chlorine and would lower the life of this softener. He just wanted a soft shower for his girlfriend/wife. He also wanted the unit in an area that limited the size of the softener available.” The first service person you refer to was Phillip, if you remember he started coughing a lot in your house and you got him water to help. He didn’t know who sold you the unit nor made any mention about him. His determination was the softener needed a new media re-bed due to the high chlorine in your water. He did say something to you about maybe needing a Chlorine filter in front of the softener to help this from happening so soon again. The second person was Patrick, he first told you the current unit was under a 5-year warranty and we would fix it, which still holds true. He also offered upgrade units at discounted prices, but they would need to be placed somewhere else in the house due to the space requirements. We are very sorry that you had a bad experience. The warranty is still good and please contact Patrick or our office if we can be of assistance."

If you look into cost associated with maintenance, wasted salt and water, and life of equipment, you will see Kinetico is far worth the additional cost up front. We also offer excellent financing that allows you to purchase a new system as low as what you can be paying for renting a water softener or drinking water system."

This provider was the only one in the Peoria area who truly addressed my water issues. I have hard iron with high iron. What I did not know was that I had iron bacteria. I got estimates from every large water treatment company in the Peoria area. Some stated their softener would handle the iron without a separate iron treatment. Others wanted to include the iron treatment. The first thing the Superior salesman did was to check my toilet tank. The sides were full of slime. I had thought it was just the way things had to be. Because of this bacteria, he set me up with a bacteria treatment, iron treatment, then actual water softening. He also recommended and sold me a mineral filter to go in my water distilling system.
It is important to note I had called a softener manufacturer for some tech support issues. They specifically told me to address the issues with iron bacteria or I would not be successful in my efforts to truly clean up my water. It was almost as if the Superior Water salesman had tapped my phone. He went right to the heart of the matter.
The installation took most of a day. The installers were professional and stuck right to the job. There were a couple minor issues, but that is to be expected with such a complicated setup. The installer came back and took care of everything.
My only 2 complaints are:
1. With this new system, I get a very fine grain in the tub with hot water. This grain was not present before the water system installation. It seem to be more aesthetic than anything, and thus far has not caused any problems with my appliances. It is just an annoyance.
2. There was some cleaning supply setup included in the bill. I still have no idea how much this cost me and if I could have gotten a better deal without it, but it was never an option to not have the cleaning supplies. This was a big enough deal I would have gone elsewhere, but since no one else seemed to know to treat my water problems, I pretty much was locked in to this vendor.
