Doctor Gilbert is excellent, highly skilled, understanding, never in a hurry to end visit.  However, there is usually always excessive waiting. |

She seems to be an excellent doctor and does a very good job spending time with the patients and worrying about them. The only bad thing is her scheduling. She has limited appointments available and she always runs late.

She's very knowledgeable, approachable and easy to talk with. She's, caring, good and spends much time with you. The wait to get in to see her is long. She is worth waiting for, though.

Although Dr. Cole is a very thorough and experienced doctor, there are some major pitfalls to being her patient. She is always very late. By very late, I mean you will come at 4 and not see her until between 6:30 and 7. You may be her first patient of the day, but you still may not see her until 11. Once you are placed in an examining room, and the initial nurse has asked you the prelim questions, you might not be checked on for over a hour, if even then. Another disadvantage is the odd and limiting office hours. They are only there very part-time and, when there, they take an hour and  a half for lunch. They do not write out any prescription refills on Fridays. I tried very hard to stick with Dr. Cole because she does know her "trade,"  but it got too frustrating waiting so long to see her and trying to work around their very limited hours. I would not recommend her to any one for these reasons. The staff would apologize, but it never improved. It just never got better; it just got worse.

Cons: It takes a while to get in to see Dr. Sue -- she has a waiting list. When you do get an appointment, bring something to read - it might take you a while to see her. Pros: And here is the reason why you wait... Dr. Sue is like the old-time family doctors from years ago, with all the best qualities those doctors possessed. She gets to know you as an individual, and treats you as if you are a special human being instead of a "take-a-number" patient. She will take the time to listen to your concerns and answer your questions. She treats the whole person - not just the one 10 minute issue you came in for - and she is right on target with the way different problems you are experiencing are somehow connected. I have found Dr. Cole to be absolutely brilliant -- she has discovered things no other doctor thought to look for. It is wonderful to have a physician you can trust to do what is best for you instead of what is convenient, a doctor who is not afraid to try new things to bring you relief. She treats a patient with respect - none of that "god-complex" here. I have a progressive disease (multiple sclerosis) and this doctor has improved my quality of life more in a few months than all the "specialists" have done in the last 2 years. I feel so fortunate to have discovered Susan Cole -- a doctor who genuinely cares about patients and their suffering. Worth the wait? Absolutely!
