They were great. There was great communication with no hype. They did not try to sell me repairs I did not need. They let me know about an unrelated leak that was not a transmission issue. I'm glad they let me know.

I was having a problem with my Ford Escape. It wouldn't go in drive or reverse properly. I assumed it was the transmission. I spoke with s few transmission shops and just wasn't comfortable. I tried Angies list and saw John Skenders business ( Pioneer Park Transmission ) He was very helpful, pleasant and HONEST!!! He looked at my vehicle and told me that it wasn't the transmission at all. Being a woman, I personally know the fear of getting ripped off by mechanics and the dishonesty. ( Had a 487.00 bill for work done just for standard shocks from a local auto place ! ) I would recommend him ( John Skender/ Pioneer Park Transmission ) to anyone, especially females....he takes the fears out of trying to find quality, honesty , friendly, fair service. Thank You John!! :)

My 2007 Honda Odyssey in because it was not shifting smoothly during our vacation trip. I gave the symptoms of shifting and he said he'd do the diagnostic. We were on vacation and with all the traveling the transmission fluid ran low. I added some fluid till I get home and slightly overfilled it. You can overfill it a little, but not a lot. Overfilling can make the fluid not arreate and make the transmission slip, or damage the clutch plates. I drove it home and is still had some symptoms of changing slightly hard.I changed the fluid out it when I got home from the trip. I get attuned the feel of the shifting and had to have it checked out before it done some damage.I was originally scheduled to take it to HONDA, but remembered him working on my son's Honda transmission.
He said if there was any clutch damage it would have contaminated the new fluid within a day, there was no sign of damage in the fluid. He said there would be no charge since he didn't sell me anything. I offered him something for the test, but he said no charge. He's a nice person to deal with and honest. I asked where to take the Honda for it's 100,000 mile maintenance and he referred me to a shop down the street, called Power Automotive. They refer business to him and he does the same for them. He said the Honda Dealership does not rebuild transmissions, they just want to sell you a new one. John said the best payment was a good referral. I'm giving him that right now! He was very nice to talk to, and honest.

.Was recommended by my trusted mechanic as he didn't have means to fix. Called and spoke with owner, John, who was friendly and professional. Arranged time to drop off within a few days using their after hours key drop. Got back with me as soon as it was diagnosed. Had to wait for part so was there overnight. Solenoid was bad and he recommended both be replaced as tough to get to. Most of cost was labor as whole bottom end has to be dropped to get to. I don't have experience with transmissions so can't really say if price is good but based on recommendation and his knowledge/professionalism would say work done was fair and fixed problem.
