I called Joe @Contractors Plus for an estimate on installing a walk in shower for my 95 yr old father. Joe came out the next day to give the estimate, and got busy on it right away. It was finished on schedule within 3 days. Joe gave us a very fair price and my father was pleased with the result. Joe went out of his way to make my dad happy. The shower looks great, and he installed a couple grab bars to assist my dad in and out of the shower. I will definitely call Joe at Kitchen & Bath Specialties Contractors Plus for other projects.

I highly recommend Kitchen and Bath Specialties. They recently remodelled my elderly mothers bathroom and did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. They pay a lot of attention to detail and work through any issues very effectively. I recommended to my friend for her dads bathroom as well and it turned out great. Very honest and very good work. Cant go wrong.

WOW what a disaster...thinking now I should of checked but I think Joe the owner does not have a contractors license at all...he and his crew are the most unprofessional people I have ever hired to do a job...got a bid of $7200 which included running 2 gas lines about 75 Feet each that after demo discovered they already existed. This alone should of cut my estimate in half... Demo caused more damage to my house. They had to remove Bosch electric stove top which they cracked all the glass...to replace is $3500 alone. All of the major components Fridge, Sink, Faucet, Bosch oven, Washer & Dryer etc...where to be sold on Joe's FaceBook page. I got paid for the fridge, W&D and of course gave Joe $500 for basically doing nothing. During demo they put nothing down to protect my imported wood flooring so now there are huge scratches and gouges that need to be repaired. He replaced the old Washer and Dryer with a larger unit and needed to do drywall. Did not even bother using a level or anything. The tile under the machine he forgot to install. He used my left over paint and got it everywhere not caring one thing at all about my house and things. I do not were shoes in my house and there is a sign on my door stating so...he and his workers of course ignored my wishes and wore work boots with gravel in the tread further causing further damage to my floors. He replaced my sink and faucet...it used to have pressure and hot water now has neither. He left electrical outlets exposed with wiring showing. Every day after working for most 1 hour they never bothered to sweep and clean up their mess... I have paid him $4000 in total and now have to get everything he damages repaired and replaced. He has the nerve to ask me for more payment... This is not my first time working with contractors and doing projects....and for the most part has always been a good experience...but this contractor and his crew are the WORST....avoid at all costs when looking to do any hiring. And if you do hire this crew hold back all the money until it is done properly.

We ended up with our dream kitchen thanks to Joe! It was a tough year for house re-modeling but Joe was patient and remained a consummate professional. We couldn't be happier with the quality of his work.

First time hiring Kitchen and Bath Specialties and working with Joe Laverdiere. He also came over initially to quote a price and then returned to look over the template, which needed adjustment and a new template created. He wanted to ensure that the countertop would be the correct length. He is very knowledge and scheduled our installation for late this week and completed the installation today. He did run into an issue (not of his doing) and was able to handle it. He communicated very clearly to us what we needed to know. We will hire him to install the tiling as well. I highly recommend him.

Joe reached out quickly and with the assistance of Alupe, they were able to swiftly install a new lock & snap floor professionally over a poorly tiled/grouted situation. There was a small snafu with the wax ring and leaking water from the toilet to the basement after the floor installation and Joe & Alupe came out immediately to remedy the leak. Joe also patched a hole in our upper level ceiling AND a small hole on the outside of our home. All is well and we will DEFINITELY have them back for future services!

Work completed as agreed to, in reasonable timeframe (one week). Nice job on patching drywall after tub replacement. Would like to see a little more coordination with plumbing to put same care and attention to detail as Joe, and keep work tools organized/out of the way of living space after hours. We did have some clean-up to do after the job was done (drywall dust, dirt, minor debris), but overall good experience and quality work. Joe was responsive to questions and minor issues that we pointed out day to day.

The remodel went great. Joe and his crew were friendly and prompt. They did the work in a timely fashion and were very good at communicating about the project. They did an amazing job transforming our bathroom. They replaced a vanity, walls, put in a tub and tiled. They also laid vinyl flooring and installed lights. We were impressed and thrilled with how quickly they worked and with the finished project. We would hire them again for another renovation. Please check them out.

Joe and his team were awesome. I needed a quick fix for a leaky shower and to ensure walls were sealed and protected from any water. Not only did Joe provide a quick fix at an extremely reasonable rate but he took the time to educate me on the work, what he did, and specifically how it would solve my problem long term. I've found it difficult to find reliable contractors who are both reasonably priced but execute at a level that meets pretty rigorous standards, Joe and team knocked my expectations out of the park. I have little doubt that I'll be calling Joe in the future for more house projects!

After struggling to find a company I could not only trust but also reasonable price wise, I was relieved when I found Joe. Joe was extremely down to earth, responsive, and reasonable when I first approached him about this project. During the project, progress was made very quickly and he did an impressive job on a rather complex project. I am extremely pleased with the results and it was amazing to see my vision turn into reality. I definitely look forward to working with him in the future.

They did an excellent job of coordinating work, since I did the framing, drywall and flooring. This is the second job they have done for us and we have been very happy with the work.

This was the best quote I got and I was very happy with how quickly Joe was able to address the issues in my bathroom and that the work was performed fast. I bought a house without a bathtub/shower that would work without issues, and it only took a week to get the necessities in place for me which was much faster than I expected. I am planning to finish the details in the bathroom myself and hoping it all works out for me, but I definitely plan more projects in the future and am looking forward to working with him again!

I didn't expect to have to write this. Even waited a few weeks after the work was "completed" in order to live with the results a bit, but here goes. I had Kitchen and Bath Specialties (Joe Laverdiere ) come to my home to redo my bathroom. They were to replace the drywall, put in a tiled walk in shower where I once had a tub, etc. I assumed it would be a right hand drain since the tub had a right drain. Here are some issues I faced with this company. I came home from work to find they had cut out the concrete (house is on a slab) to put in a center drain instead. That's not the bad part. When he went to get the shower pan, they didn't have a center drain, so he ended up doing the right hand like he should have in the first place! I have no idea how they repaired the concrete under the pan, since that pan was put in while I was at work. The tiles in the shower have some even grouting, but in other places the grout is uneven as the tiles weren't cut quite right. He told me the sanded grout did not need to be sealed, but all articles I have read recommend sealing, so I have done that since they left. The air conditioning/heating vent on the wall is white. It had white screws in it. They took it down to work, and when they put it back up, they used black screws. I have no idea where the white ones went. Not only that, but they put it back up and tried to paint around it, so I had to clean grey paint off the white vent and I had to go buy white screws to put it back properly. I showed him one day where I wanted the grab bar to be placed. He even put some pieces of tape on the wall to remind him where to put it. Guess what? Next day I get home and it's not placed correctly. Of course now there are holes in the tiles, so to redo it would mean replacing the tiles too, so I let it go. Even though it was new drywall, they did not paint behind the vanity. Nor did they paint behind the stool, except for the wall showing below the tank. Since the vanity and stool had to be removed to replace the drywall, the new drywall should have been painted. There was also paint all over the toilet tank lid. I pointed out where the drywall joints were not smooth in a number of places. Joe said once I hung towels on the towel bar that would not be noticeable and that the joint where the wall and ceiling meet over the sink was noticeable because of the type of paint I chose (eggshell) and because the light fixture was facing upward. I told him if it was done correctly there would be nothing to hide or notice. They did work on those two spots, but other places are not smooth. They broke both light bulbs in the fixture but failed to mention it to me. I went to replace them because one bulb burnt out and nearly cut my hand in the process. Now let's talk about cleaning up after themselves. My front and back door had lots of hand prints on them. Ever hear of a door knob? There were spots of some white substance on the concrete on the patio they never cleaned up, but they said it would wash away when it rained. We've had a couple of good rains since and they are still there. There are bits of some adhesive on my carpet that I can't get out. I may have to "trim" it. I asked him to paint the inside of the bathroom door the same color as the trim, a very light grey. Nope. I think all he put on there was white primer. One day I was out mowing the yard when Joe left. I went inside when I was finished mowing and found the bathroom light on, the bedroom light on, the hallway light on and even though the air conditioning was on, the front door was standing open. Another day I noticed the side door to the garage was on so I went out to close it. Not only was the door open but the light in the garage was on too. Walking back to the house I see the outside spigot is dripping water. Seriously? So to sum up, the drywall job was not finished smoothly in all the joints. The painting is not even in some places. They did not wipe down all the dust from sanding before beginning to paint, so I will have to redo. I had to seal the grout and clean the tiles and the tile spacing is uneven. It really sucked the joy out of having the room redone.

Joe and his crew did an awesome job on tearing out my old bathtub/shower combo and replacing it with a new one. They also finished the drywall above the tub, installed trim around the ceiling, and installed baseboards throughout the bathroom. He was very prompt, easy to work with, and did a great job keeping in touch with me throughout the process. The work they did was exactly what I needed and I am very happy with the end result.

Joe and Eric were extremely easy to work with and the price for services was very reasonable. We posed some unique design requests and they took on the challenges without resistance. We absolutely love the results. The kitchen Klear Vue cabinets look fabulous in the new layout Joe helped us design around our supporting beams. We now have an island with a sink, which required plumbing and electrical work. The backsplash we picked out was tricky, but Joe revisited the job to make sure it was secured. His recommendations on lighting were great and he willingly adjusted the locations more than once. We are just as pleased with the bathrooms. Joe built a cabinet, stripped walls, and painted tile in addition to laying floor which all look absolutely beautiful.

We used Joe in the past for a Master Bathroom Remodel and he did a great job. It was an easy choice to have him do our Kitchen and Bath remodel. This was a complete remodel tearing out walls moving cabinets, adding an Island and all new electrical. Plus all new flooring, windows and all the finish work. He was always accessible and was able to make changes on the fly. We are very happy with our remodel.
