Didn't do everything on the work order first time.  Had to come back a second time.  Overcharged for their time.

The above repair work was in-between two unsuccessful clean-out attempts by a company Dillion works with. After the clean-outs did not improve anything, one of the bosses at Dillion came out to survey the situation. He came out on a Friday morning and saw we had no drainage and said he would get back to me that morning. He got back to me late Tuesday morning with an estimate for more clean-out attempts for $275 or removal of part of a brick wall to get to the clogged plumbing to replace the pipes for around $800.00. By that time I had already called a different clean-out service who came out and successfully cleared the clog in one hour for $123.00.

My renter called to say her basement was "flooding" and I went over to check it out. We called JC Dillon when we figured out the sump pump was not working and they showed up within a couple hours and replaced it. The renter said the plumber was very professional. The next day the rains really started and even Menards ran out of sump pumps so we were very happy JC Dillon arrived promptly and installed a new pump. It may seem like a high price for an hours work, but I appreciate the professionalism and recognize a union plumber may cost more, but this was well worth it. I recommend this company.

An AO Smith 40-gallon gas water heater installed by Dillon began leaking on Sunday, two weeks after the tank warranty expired. The previous AO Smith 40-gallon gas water heater, also installed by Dillon, did the same thing. Uncanny. No one answered the Dillon phone on Sunday, so I called another plumber who's phone book--yes, paper--full-page ad offered emergency service, weekend rates the same as weekday, senior discounts, a coupon in the phone book, and top Angie's List reviews. The answering service said the plumber would be paged. Having sat beside a silent phone for the rest of the day, early Monday morning I called Dillon, received a quote and made an appointment for 1PM. The plumber arrived at the appointed time and expediently did the job.
I have only one negative comment. Rusty water dripped on carpet as the old water heater was removed. I promptly absorbed the water as well as I could, and the plumber offered that when they dried, the spots would disappear. They didn't, but they do clean up with carpet cleaner.
The other plumber did call, but not until the Dillon installation was underway.

They have been around for 60 years. I used them personally and for my business for a large commercial facility. They are an excellent company weather you are looking for somebody to do work in your home or at work either one. They are just a good company.

Called for an appointment and got an appointment 48 hours or so ahead. Office called day of appointment and said plumber could be on site a few hours earlier if that was OK. Plumber called later and said he was on the way. Good customer coverage. Quality workmanship.

We had a small leak in the main cast iron drain from our upstairs bathroom. My wife called to get an estimate for the repairs. Someone showed up and stated that it was not possible without cutting into the wall. Did not give an estimate for the price to cut into the wall. Decided not to proceed as could not even give a price for the next step in the process. Person was on the proerty for 5-10 minutes. Never took out a tool or touched a pipe. Received a bill for $90. Called to discuss and told I had to speak to the owner. Owner called back and stated my wife had made the mistake because she had told the receptionist she needed a leak found. Not true. Asked why we were not told of the charge for someone just to show up. Stated that is how they do business. I asked why my wife was not asked to sign a work order - owner stated they don't do that. Asked the owner for an adjustment because no work was performed, no estimate was given, basically we were told what we already knew. Owner offer $5 dollars off. Stated we had a different company come out and they had charged nothing. Offered to pay $45 and split the difference. Owner laughed at suggestion. He stated that my wife should have known to not ask for a plumber. How was my wife supposed to know this? I will never do business with them again, as we were never told about a minimum service charge, or given the opportunity to forgo the appointment. I am out $90 and the pipe still leaks. Owner was very condescending and unwilling to discuss options or arrangement. Plumber - I guess - don't know if he was actually a plumber wa sokay. Can't rate his work because he did no work. If you want to pay for the privilege of meeting someone from this comapnay then hire them. If you want an honest, fair, or respectful interaction - hire someone else.
