Bad Service!!! Very unprofessional. We had a service call on a broken washer and the tech was only here for 10 minutes and mis-diagonised the machine which cost us more time and money. We tried to work it out with them and have them come back out and they would not even come out again! Still charging us for service call. Very bad business and please do not use them. Sad when companies like this take advantage!

The guy from the commercial that says "pleasing you, pleases us" must have been having a bad day.bCame in here with new washer banging it around like he was in a rush to get back to the shop to make his next commercial. Left hoses all tangled and half installed. If you're going to buy an appliance from here, just get it delivered and save yourself the door dings and feeling like it's a hassle to drop off and install your already purchased appliance. I'll shop elsewhere.

It was not good. The repair was done but I was WAY OVERCHARGED. I paid $125 for labor and it was a 20 minute job. The part itself was $80 so I paid over $212!!! I could've bought a new washer instead!! Also, they had to cancel an original appointment because they were too busy and had to schedule another one. This is so inconvenient and very unprofessional. Please stay away from this company as they don't care about the customers. They just want money!!

Called Benson's Appliances on a Saturday for a refrigerator repair, said they would be out on Monday to repair, due to a heavy snow storm and minus 40 below wind chill were unable to make it which was very understandable. They were able to get to me on Wednesday, The service technician, Steve, was very friendly and courteous, apologized for the delay, replace the mother board in the refrigerator. cost for the service call and repair were in line with most others. very satisfied with their service, will use again.

The service call went really well. They replaced the part that was causing the dryer not to heat, and when they opened it up they also showed me that another part had broke as well so they replaced that as well with out me having to schedule another service call because he had to run back to get the part. The price was ok, and there is a trip charge.

The cost included a new handle and the service. Evidently we were overusing detergents and it was blocking up the drain. He was trying to tell me that I shouldn't put clean dishes in because the detergent has to work against something which doesn't make much sense. It could be that I was overloading it with detergent. He suggested that I get a dishwasher cleaner which I wasn't able to find in a store but may be able to find at a hardware store. It's a product that you put in and it cleans out all the gummy detergent that maybe wasn't taken down. I do have a water softener so I am not sure if that was the problem. The dishwasher is working now. He sounded like somebody out of a sitcom. He told me he didn't have a dishwasher himself. When I asked him if he had someone instead to do his dishes, he said he didn't eat much and he lived alone. It was an amusing experience, but he did get the dishwasher fixed.

My parents had always used Benson's for their appliance needs. They almost loved Bill Benson. But since Bill handed things over to his son Scott, things are quite different. My refrigerator quit cooling so I called them. They were curteous on the phone and said they could be out the next morning. They arrived on time, and the repair man was polite and diagnosed the problem quickly. Luckly the problem was the main cirucuit board, and not the compressor. He told me the part would cost me $225 and they would waive their diagnosis fee. He also said he had the part on the truck. I thanked him and shook his hand. However, when he searched his truck, he did not have the part. He said he would go grab lunch and stop by the parts department on the way home. When he returned with the part, he told me the cost of the part had increased, and now the price was going to be $2750. I argued that we had agreed on the price already to which he responded I was more than welcome to pay them just for the diagnosis ($75?) and replace the part myself. As I could not have my refrigerator down for the time it would take me to order the part online and have it delivered, I felt like I was being strong-armed into paying the additional cost. Personnaly I felt like I had just been a victim of "bait and switch". But I felt like the owner would "make things right." so I paid the additional $50. The following day I called and asked to speak with the Bill's son, now the owner. He was not in and I left my number and explained briefly that I had a complaint about my service. After a week went by I had not recieved a call, so I called back. He acknowledge getting my message but said he had been busy. Not even an apology! His attitude was very poor and his tone of voice almost rude. When I explained what happen he simply stated it was my choice to pay the additional money and that was that. He simply would not acknowledge that anything was wrong or could have been done better and refused to make things right. Needless to say, they will not recieve any business from me in the future. Just beware if you use them and they tell you they have to go get the part. Confirm that the price will be the same.

My dishwasher was brand new and made awful noises. I looked up the repair dealers in the area and Benson's was it. The first time the repairman came out, he said he didn't hear any noises. So I got it on videotape and called him out a second time. I thought my machine was going to break into a thousand pieces, but he still claimed he didn't hear anything. After being a bit pushy, he finally agreed to replace the moving parts. I called several times to inquire about the parts arriving and each time was told they had just been received and I would be called in a couple of days. Six weeks later I finally have a fixed dishwasher. The repairman did the work just fine, but was not friendly and liked to argue about whether or not my machine was working. It's unfortunate they're the only authorized LG repair company in town.

It took me a while to get a salesperson, as there was only one on duty (it was a Sunday). I think their prices may have been slightly higher, but I can't say enough about the installation experience. They were able to deliver either the next day or the day after (can't remember which). They were EXACTLY on time. The two young men were efficient, friendly, polite, and non-judgmental (my house was a mess). They even made suggestions when it came to where the washer went. They were able to give me more room in my laundry area. I give them a resounding recommendation. My refrigerator will need replacing soon and I know where I will be getting it.

In October 2008 my Magic Chef gas oven quit working. I had no idea what was wrong with it, but I was certain that Magic Chef appliances were no longer manufactured. I didn't want to deal with another national box store for service, as I had had bad experiences with them, so I decided to give Benson's a call after seeing an advertisement for them on TV. I could not have been happier that I did. The guy (I forgot his name...sorry) was the most professional repair person I have ever had in my home. Not only did he perform the work capably, he was also pleasant, a first for me. He also had the oven fixed in a matter of minutes. I was ecstatic. I was expecting to have to purchase a new oven, perhaps get the old "we can't get parts for those anymore" run around that I have gotten before. I was very pleased with Benson's and plan on using them not only for repair needs, but to replace all of my aging appliances in an upcoming remodel. This is the type of local business that needs our support, or they too will surely fall victim to the national box stores. It will be a sad day when these local firms are no longer around.
