Charlie Hurt has been very helpful in helping us deal with our basement problem and he knows lots of people to refer if he can't do something. He's well connected and honest.

The quality of the work is mediocre. The window sill is raw wood that is not sanded and still has very rough, raw edges. They left a mess, with wall compound on the shower head, the shower curtain rod, and the tub. Andy, who did the work, was asking me what needed to be done because he did not know any details of the work that was quoted. The transition between the tub and the back wall has to be finished by me. I paid for wall repair, and I have to spend more money to finish it myself.
The bathroom was examined during the quote, so the scope of the work was known up front. They took photos to help in the quote. They were hired to fix the damage so that all I had to do was prime and paint the walls. Above the tub was done fine, but the more difficult work along the back side of the tub was not done correctly. Even when Andy came out again to fix the original work, it is still not done correctly.
The owner did not respond well to the complaints I brought up. Instead of being concerned with a customer that was not happy, he threw out reasons why he was busy and that it was difficult to fit in such a small job within his larger jobs he is working on. He did not offer to come out and see the quality of the work that was done. I do believe if he saw the quality of the work, he would not have been happy about it, but for whatever reason, he could not be proactive in resolving an issue with a job. Big or small, all jobs are a reflection of the company.

Was to begin in May 2013; did not start til 9/13; was to be 10 days to 14 days; lasted 3.5 weeks. Sometimes showed up and sometimes did not; left outside doors open and had rodent issues for several months; said would take care of it and did not; paid for own supplies and then was charged their fee for supplies they did not provide; would not give breakdown of their time; sometimes showed up and other days did not; no hne call; would come for an hour and then leave; spoke with neighbors about person; did not do walk thru after job done;overall bad experience; had to call in another company to fix their mess.

He promised it would be done in 2 1/2 weeks as we had sold the house and needed it to be ready for inspection. It took over 5 weeks with many days no one there working. I was told there would be a full crew working to get the windows done. I never saw more than two people at a time and mostly just one person. He pulled the main carpenter off after a couple days to work on another project. He had the men install the windows but not the trim which was rotted on the outside. He said that wasn't included and would cost over 2000 dollars more. He kept trying to get more work from me to get more money, like regrade the soil around the house. The bathtub was scratched but he blamed Menards and wouldn't do anything about it. The bathtub was narrower than the previous tub so the floor was uneven. That costs more of course to fix the floor. I found Mr. Hurt to be whiny, manipulating and very difficult to work with. He didn't answer several of my phone calls. He was expensive, manipulative, and unwilling to compromise at all on the final price. I would not recommend this company. 8/13/2012 update. Mr. Hurt did followup with Menards and the bathtub is now satisfactory.

Completely overcharged for the small amount of work they completed. Did not stick to the estimate...and when I received the bill, it contained charges I was not informed of....for example...they said that they started the hourly charge from when they left their headquarters - never mentioned to me. They ran out of the screws needed to complete the job so they charged me double the hourly wage so another worker could go get the screws. The owner kept trying to talk me into doing additional work. I would never use them again nor suggest them to anyone else.
