"We built a fence for this lady a couple months ago, I received multiple messages from her because her fence pickets were starting to warp. Upon inspection and pictures sent I realized my workers did not put the top 2x4 braces high enough on the fence. I went to her house the next day and offered a few solutions including adding to the 4x4 posts with anchors and adding more 2x4s and replacing the pickets I needed to that were warped. I finished most of my solution to her problem when it began to rain and ended my day so I was unable to finish the repair that day. After she returned home from work I received a flurry of messages saying she doesn’t like the way it looks and that her neighbor and her are going to sue me. Because her neighbor says now that the fence was built in the correct direction it is now in his yard. I depended on her having her yard surveyed upon starting and at the least a conversation with her neighbor before hand. But it is clear she did not. But still, I told her I wanted to make her happy because she is a customer and I wanted to see her happy and it would relieve what issues she has with her neighbor. Which she was fine with until yesterday she asked for a refund and said she doesn’t trust my company and stated she would hire another contractor. She claims the fence built was not up to code but it is up to code in every sense but her pickets did warp and the first solution she agreed upon wasn’t to her liking so she is now harassing my family and harassing me as a result claiming I scammed her."
