KELLEY CONSTRUCTION

LEFT me for two weeks without finishing and with NO EXPLANATION. I fired them on viewing my cheap RESTORATION garage lights and then finding out they were going to cheat the insurance company....FRAUD.

Paid more than was told by 3 different employees. Found over 500 nails after their clean up.downspout fell off house broke my car window.they did credit 300 dollars woman said I didn't get a quote repeatedly (yes called I was called a liar repeatedly) . I GOT A QOUTE AT THEIR OFFICE LITERALLY.the guy Bob who answers their phone was having his car window fixed and him and a guy named Trent witnessed it. My back storm door isn't screwed in even and my awning they came back to adjust because my door wouldn't open looks like it isn't secured properly to the house now and has wasps climbing in and out or I wouldn't have noticed,they fixed that with 2 different size pieces of wood that looks like garbage.broke my doorbell which is a 20 dollar fix, but the lady at the office would rather call me a liar and threaten me with a lien on the house. Job took way longer than was told ripped a few screens I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting.

We recently had a major plumbing issue in the main level of our home and after being terribly unhappy with the company that did the initial dry out, we decided to have Kelley Construction do our repairs. When they came into our home they discovered that the other company didn't dry it out properly and we were left with a home that was uninhabitable. Kelley Construction helped us prove our home was unsafe and made sure we were immediately removed to a place that was safe while our home was properly dried out and repairs were being made. Jeff has been available to answer all of my questions promptly and make the process much less stressful than it could have been.

Everything went well. I attribute almost all of the success of this project to Steve McClanahan from Kelley Construction. Steve was the only reason we chose Kelley Construction for this work as we have had him do other work for us in the past. He is knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He always makes sure you understand what is being done and that you are satisfied with the work when it is completed.

TERRIBLE! See attached pictures of our "new roof" for just a glimpse of the work you can expect from Kelley Construction. A few examples include: -5 large holes (where Kelley workers removed old vents) covered with nothing but paper and shingles. After we discovered the holes, Kelley re-roofed this portion but we have since discovered more large holes with shingles nailed into nothing but air. -Gaps so large that we can see the sky and street from the underside of the roof. -Improperly installed or missing flashing, drip edges and ridges. -Extensive damage to siding, driveway, and gutters. We have offered Mr. Kelley multiple opportunities to resolve the shoddy work and extensive damage identified in reports from engineers, roofers, and inspectors. Despite repeated claims that he “wants to make us happy” and “will treat our home like his own,” Mr. Kelley refuses to accept the evidence in front of him. After two meetings with Mike Kelley and multiple “repair visits” from his employees, we realize that Kelley Construction is unwilling, and possibly unqualified, to fix the damage they caused to our home. When Kelley Construction began work on our house, we had a beautiful home with a bad roof. We had just put a new bathroom, bedroom and office in our top floor. Now, we have a bad roof, a totally unusable top floor, and a myriad of problems that have resulted from the improper installation of the roof and resulting issues. We have handed this over to an attorney to pursue a legal remedy after receiving a letter from Kelley’s insurance company saying that “poor workmanship” is not covered under his policy. Our experience with Kelley Construction has been, and continues to be, completely negative.

I would use them in the future.

That went really well.  They sent out a painter and a plasterer and that didn't go real well.  What's nice is they out another plasterer and he's done a far far better job.  The painter hasn't came yet but if the painter does a good job we will be at 100%.

They spent an extra day and did not charge. They were on time and were professional. Did a last walk through to make sure everything was satisfactory.

Everything went well overall. They were professional and made sure all the mess was cleaned up . We had no issues with the actual work. We were selling the house and this is the item that inspection required so if it was not correct they would not have passed the inspection. We also had to have a roof inspection for the lender and they came out very promptly and did this then sent the inspection the next day and they did not even charge us. Overall we were pleased with the work they done for us.

The roofing work was fine. They did great. My wife was not satisfied with the shower work. They left the nail stick behind. We had to cut the nail outside. The price was a little bit steep. They came back and took care of the problem with the shower when I called.

Kelley Construction Contractors was a great outfit with which to do business. Mr. Kelley arrived at the estimate appointment with copies of the firm's license and insurance certificates; I did not have to ask for them. He thoroughly explained all options and warrantees for various products.

The work started and was completed according to the schedule they gave me. The clean-up was very thorough but Kelley made it easy for themselves by covering most of the area where debris and nails might fall. I found a few nails from time to time in the weeks after the work was completed but that's to be expected; tear-off is a messy process and no one will find everything. I had a couple of questions and there was one minor detail the crew had not attended to. Both of the preceding items were taken care of in a matter of a few days.

I considered Kelley because they had done a neighbor's roof and the process went extremely well. I was not disappointed and received the same level of service as my neighbor. My son-in-law recently had a leak in his roof and called me for a recommendation for someone to repair it. I told him to call Kelley. He did and they were out the next day to fix the leak at an extremely reasonable price.

I highly recommend Kelley; it is a very professional and well-run firm.

The first attempt at getting estimates went very poorly, possibly miscommunication. The second attempt was great. My calls were returned promptly. The owner Michael came out to the site and gave me the estimates (on time which is unheard of in the contracting world!). He had the report finished the next day! He then followed up a few days later to see if i needed anything else.

Took them not 1 not 2 but 3 times to get it done right and it still looks like crap using 4 different guys when i had the consult i was told there would be 2 guys for 2 days first day 1 guy showed up an hour late had dirty ripped shorts on and a dirty t shirt the second guy was on his phone the whole time. Finally the 3rd guy had to come and fix the other 2 guys jobs i was told that the guys were new and was let go so i called the owner and told him what a crappy job they had done and that i was not paying the whole bill and he threatened me with a builders lean on my house neverrrr using them again.

I thought I had gotten a good deal. Worked with the salesman very well. Installers of new roof were very professional, very friendly. Yet as job was being completed, a small portion of my over a porch was not re-shingled. When I asked the installers about it, they said it was not marked to be done. I called the company, as the paperwork I had said that all front facing portions of the roof would be replaced. However, this one section was not marked in the pictures they had, so it was not done. The salesman I dealt with had left the company.I explained that I was not shown the pictures or would have had it marked prior to installation. When dealing with the company over the phone, they would not do anything to resolve this. More or less told me, tough. This section is only about 4 X 6 so it would have taken nothing for them to come out and replace this small portion. But they absolutely refused. I would never recommend them to anyone. They do not live up to what they promise.
