They were excellent!

$90 was just the amount of the service call and the freon was extra. I don't remember how much that was; it's gotten very expensive, though. Every year they were coming out here and having to add freon, and we thought there was something wrong with it. So when the fellow from the other company came out here, he said sometimes when you get somebody out, sometimes they loosen things up. He said the unit should not have been losing that much freon. I would tell someone who was thinking about using this provider in the future to look elsewhere.

First, everything in our 60 year old two story home is unusual.  We have a hot water heat system with a boiler and copper tubes running thru the attic floor and first and second floor ceilings.  The second floor zoned a/c was also apparently put together in an odd (not good) way. 
Sunshine has been servicing our systems for a few years since they saved us by coming out in the winter during an emergency when we were out of town when the heat stopped.
Anyway, Bobbie, our favorite Sunshine guy, had warned us in prior years that when/if the 2nd floor a/c should break we would need a total redo.  We had Shavits, another company, come out and they agreed with Sunshine's recommendation.  They quoted $14,500 and gave us a very impressive proposal in a nice folder - very professional and detailed.  Sunshine gave us a bare bones single sheet proposal with few details.
From the beginning we had a lot of confidence in Bobbie's expertise.  He seemed to really enjoy figuring out our strange systems , finding solutions, and didn't mind working in our horrible working conditions attic, where he had to spend 5 days with Tom installing the a/c and constantly being careful not to step on one on the copper water tubes everywhere. Oh, and they had to move everything into and out of the attic thru a trap door in a bedroom climbing up a latter and pulling themselves up.
So after 5 days everything looks great and works fine.  Good job on the clean up too.  We highly recommend Sunshine.  Don, the owner, and his son Dan are great too, and have come out on many occasions.  And the receptionist who answers their phone is always nice too.

They were prompt. They fixed it and did not try to sell me a new one. Their price was fair and they were professional. I have had no problems with this company.

I WAS TOLD THEY COULD COME IN THREE DAYS. REPEATING I HAD NO HEAT, THEY SAID A SERVICE PERSON WOULD COME OUT THE NEXT EVENING. THAT DAY THEY LEFT A MESSAGE SAYING HE WAS SICK, BUT COULD RESCHEDULE FOR THE NEXT EVENING. I CALLED THEIR ANSWERING SERVICE TO CONFIRM THAT APPOINTMENT. THEY CALLED ME AT WORK THE NEXT MORNING SAYING THE SERVICE PERSON WAS VERY BUSY AND COULDN'T COME UNTIL THE WEEKEND. REITERATING I HAD NO HEAT, THE WOMAN CHECKED WITH THE SERVICE PERSON & SAID THIS NIGHT WOULD WORK OUT AFTER ALL. THAT EVENING THERE WAS ANOTHER MESSAGE SAYING HE WAS ON AN EMERGENCY CALL AND BUSY UNTIL 9:00PM. WE COULD RESCHEDULE, BUT HE (APPARENTLY THE ONLY SALES ESTIMATOR THEY HAVE) HAD EMERGENCY CALLS SCHEDULED FOR THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. (HOW CAN SO MANY EMERGENCIES BE SCHEDULED SO FAR IN ADVANCE????)IT SEEMS MY LACK OF HEAT THIS TIME OF YEAR WASN'T AN EMERGENCY TO THEM.
