Neighborhood Remodelers did a bathroom renovation for us in 2020. Mike Cooper was the project manager. They also replace all of the trim on our second floor fast forward three years later where we replaced our upstairs flooring and came to find out that Neighborhood Remodelers used 3 inch trim and elevated on the wall to act like 5 inch trim. Extremely shady. We also came to find out that they buried an electrical box even though they told us that they wouldn’t do anything like that. extremely disappointed with this company. Please think long and hard before using them.

I couldn’t be happier with the work done by Neighborhood Remodelers. They were extremely responsive and communicative throughout the entire process. Their workmanship and professionalism was outstanding. They quickly and accurately responded to all questions and were very flexible when it came to additions during the project. Their prices were fair and their price estimates were not only very accurate but also very transparent by providing a detailed breakdown of each item. They went above and beyond throughout the project to minimize inconvenience while renovating an entire condo with someone still living inside.

Went well from beginning to end. Great communication which is super important for a major remodel. Daily status, questions on details, responsive to my requests, friendly, and explain things in a way anyone can understand. Timeline for work performed was spot on (even during a pandemic), quality and craftsmanship of work excellent (wood floors, kitchen full remodel, plumbing, electrical, drywall, bathroom full remodel, walls taken down, painting, wall skimming, etc). My first floor now looks like it belongs on Pinterest!

There wasn't one aspect of this job that didn't meet or exceed expectations. The entire team at Neighborhood remodelers were a pleasure to work with-- from the owner, designer, foreman, contractor, and even billing. Everything was done perfectly, on time, and on budget... which is ever more impressive given the current circumstances we are all dealing with around covid and supply chain disruptions. The communication, cleanliness, and overall professionalism at all times also can not be overstated-- amazing experience and outcome. They will be our first call when the next project rolls around.

We remodeled our master bath and dressing room, which included replacing an 84” vanity and sink, updating tub/shower, installing new tub and toilet, installing new tile flooring, and painting bath, dressing room, master bedroom and closets. While Marek Matisse, the person doing the work showed up every day, his work was subpar and he was not respectful of our home and furnishings. He wasn’t always prepared to work because he didn’t bring equipment he needed. He was constantly borrowing tools, not always returned. He needed a work light one day, and decided to use a brand new $750 lamp with a fabric shade. He didn’t ask to use it. I only realized it when he complained that it didn’t have bulbs in it. He also very badly scratched our cherry dresser, leaving a very deep gouge. The work did not start well when I wanted to keep a 4’x7’ vanity mirror to reinstall on our bedroom wall. Project manager Mike Rosseland and Marek both told me it couldn’t be removed without breaking it. Interestingly, they just happened to remove it when I was not scheduled to be home. Fortunately, I returned early to find a glass truck in my garage and Marek and another man removing my intact mirror to the truck. They refused to bring the mirror back up, saying it would break. In other words, if they couldn’t take it, they would make sure that we could no longer use it. It will cost us at least $1000 to replace that mirror. Vanity outlets were added and replaced with GFI. Unfortunately, they were not properly located and are not to code. We installed a mosaic tile border in the shower and vanity backsplash. The tiles were not installed evenly in several places and grout lines therefore do not match. Very shoddy. We installed special order tile and Mike Rosseland, the project manager, didn’t want to determine the amount we needed. As he told me, “We just order a bunch of tile and take back what we don’t use.” Returning unused tile was not an option as it was all special order, and Mike understood that very well. And the tile was expensive. Still, Mike apparently doesn’t know how to do math. I spent an entire afternoon measuring and calculating the amount of tile, and included an additional 20% as Mike recommended for cuts, etc. We agreed on the amount of tile to be ordered, however Mike still ordered boxes more tile than we needed and agreed to. He then very generously offered to take the excess off of my hands, but only if he didn’t have to pay me for it. We still have boxes of unused tile. The painting that was supposed to be done was incomplete. The walls, ceiling and 2 doors were painted, but the closets and trim were not. The trim paint that we paid for also disappeared. We had several issues at the end that we waited at least months for them to address. It wasn’t until the closet rod pulled out of the wall that Mike responded. These above issues, as well as severely yellowed tub caulk, were not resolved. The closet wall was patched and the wall repainted, which was when we learned that the closets had not been painted. When Mike finally responded 6 months later after repeated calls, he insisted that the door and trim paint were the same (they definitely are not) and that the closets had been painted.

Neighborhood Remodelers completely redid my kitchen--from floors to cabinets to appliances--and refinished the wood floors in much of the rest of the house. The process went very smoothly, thanks to their professional approach. Workers showed up when they said they would and did excellent work, the designer came up with a plan to make the best use of a small space, and the project manager was always on top of things. I would definitely hire them again.

I can’t say enough praises for Neighborhood Remodelers. Our Kitchen remodel was delayed initially due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Even during the month of delay when they couldn’t work we were given weekly updates to keep us informed. These updates continued throughout the life of the project. Once they were able to start, work progressed smoothly. We were always advised as to who would be arriving each day and what they would accomplish. This included any deliveries and scheduled inspections as well. The quality of work and the quality of materials were exceptional. Cleanliness and safety were always a top priority. The cabinets are top notch and simply beautiful. The initial budget that they provided was very accurate. We went through several design iterations, but even with the upgrades and changes we requested, the final cost was well within our target. Again, we were kept closely informed every step of the way. Our deepest appreciation goes to our team: Luke Mike, Jill, and Gabriel as well as their support staff and the electrical and plumbing sub-contractors. We would look forward to working with them in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone who is planning a home remodeling project of any size.

The folks at Neighborhood Remodelers are genuine, friendly, approachable, professional and just overall a great group to work with. After breaking off from a previous nightmare contractor that they left our kitchen unfinished and essentially stole our money, it really impacted our family financially and emotionally. It was very hard starting over again to find another contractor that we could trust and align with an already limited budget to finish the kitchen. Trusting another contractor was difficult and extremely important to us. Thank goodness for the reviews from Angie's list and BBB, we found NR. NR really came together, listened to our unfortunate situation, and understood our position. They worked with us on what we needed done and an estimate with a payment structure that made sense. Over the course of the project, they demonstrated great work ethic - hard working, excellent workmanship, attention to details, helpful guidance and advice, responsive communication, and overall a great mutual partnership throughout the entire project, especially working around the COVID-19 situation. They went the extra mile to build our trust and, in turn, helped set our minds at ease. Many thanks to the whole Neighborhood Remodelers family for making this a smooth, memorable experience and delivering on a beautiful kitchen as well as restoring some much needed normalcy to our lives during this challenging time.

We loved working with NR! Both rooms turned out perfectly, and we had good communication throughout, even with the pandemic crisis. NR continued work in a safe manner, and our project was only delayed a few weeks due to the shelter-in-place order. All of the materials are quality, the work was fast, and well done.

Neighborhood Remodelers was such a pleasure to work with! We have never had an experience with contractors go so smoothly. Everyone was professional, courteous, responsible, and we always knew what was going on. They were great about guiding us on decisions and we always felt comfortable with everyone that came into our home. The work looks amazing! I can't recommend them highly enough!

Neighborhood Remodelers did a great job remodeling our kitchen. They took out a wall, completely gutted our old kitchen and an adjoining room, and installed new flooring, new cabinetry and an island. Everyone was very professional. Jill did a wonderful job redesigning the layout of our kitchen. The work done by Marek and the crew was very high quality. Our kitchen turned out beautifully!

The partnership with Neighborhood Remodelers was great. From the initial quote through planning and execution, the entire team was top notch. Luke led the sales process and was always straight forward, responsive and helpful. Mike was a skilled project manager - clearly communicating and managing expectations and scope in a straight forward and professional manner. Art - the lead onsite was skilled, had a great attention to detail and worked cleaner that I have ever experienced. I highly recommend the team for the toughest remodel jobs. In our case, we took the bathroom and closet down to the studs and completely changed the functionality and design.

We could not be happier with Neighborhood Remodelers! We bought a nice but dated house, and in a few short weeks they made it absolutely GORGEOUS. Everyone we worked with (especially Mike and Kamil) was very professional, responsive, and friendly. The work went quicker than expected, and looked even better than expected. Everyone we know who has done home renovations with other contractors has had some nightmare story, but we had nothing but great experiences with Neighborhood... sorry everyone who didn't use them!. We have some additional projects we're thinking of doing within the next several years, and without a doubt we will be going back to Neighborhood Remodelers for those projects. Neighborhood Remodelers were great to work with on this project. They handled the whole thing from design to construction to final decorations. They provided us with great input and guidance through out the project. They have assembled a great team of contractors who took our ideas and designs and made them a reality. I would definitely use them again.

A++++The entire process from start to finish was fantastic! The project management was superb, the attention to detail on the work was impeccable. The crew worked on our projects on Saturdays to make up for setbacks and always left a clean worksite. Having had 2 homes remodeled previously, I can say that NR has exceeded all of our expectations.

Outstanding! Neighborhood is a great company to work with. We have a small bathroom footprints and needed to make the most of the space. The transformation was incredible.including moving the toilet, putting in a pocket door, installing marble tiles over chimney stack and creating an amazing rain shower! The project was well managed, moved at a reasonable pace and the quality was outstanding! This was our second project with Neighborhood and we will use them again for our next project.

This is the second time I have worked with NR to complete a remodeling project in my home. Previously, they completed our master bathroom remodel. They did such a great job with our master bath that I knew we would use them again for other projects. They are easy to work with, personable and friendly, and the finished product looks awesome and is done with great care and quality. They were very accommodating with my schedule for when I needed to start and finish both bathrooms. Their entire team communicates well and is quick to respond to emails/calls. And most important to me as a consumer, they've always treated me with respect. There is no hard sell, no talking down to me, no pressure to do it their way. Overall, the quality of the work and the ease of working with NR is why they are my go-to contractor.

Very well. All contractors were professional, did high-quality work, progressed quickly, kept all areas clean during work and before going home each day. Very pleased that the project manager came every day and kept us posted in person and by email.

Great! Excellent quality at a fair price. Very quick to respond to questions and made several last minute changes that we requested with no disruption to the estimated timeline.

We wanted to remove a wall in our 1920's bungalow, opening up the space between the existing kitchen and a bedroom, creating a large family room. We also moved a pantry, and a refrigerator to accommodate. Neighborhood Remodelers was a great GC. They pulled together the wall removal, replacing it with a beam. I worked with them to adjust the scope to reduce cost (basically, some of the detail work I GC'd myself), because I do thin their add-on items were pricey. The work was excellent, I am very happy with the overall product and finish - they did all the right things to make it both look good and function as expected. As all projects, it took longer than expected, and I had to make sure to check the work to create a punch list. This was totally expected, but did require a bit more work on my part. Overall, a wonderful contractor, and I would absolutely use them again.

It was great. From day one to the end. They are very professional, organized, proficient and friendly. They were on time every day, clearly communicated every step with me, kept me updated weekly. I highly recommend Neighborhood Remodelers and will use them again for future projects.

Fabulous...first, the bathrooms are gorgeous; second, all of the people working were helpful, courteous and lived within the rather rigid requirements of my co-op building of when they could work in the building. Third, they are terrific about keeping you informed...the project manager sent me an email every night telling me what was accomplished and what was to be done the next day. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Every project will have snafus and challenges. I judge servicepeople not only on their work, but on how well they deal with challenges. Neighborhood Remodelers had few challenges in our job, and those that arose were quickly resolved to our complete satisfaction, including one regarding who paid for what for a certain part of the job. Their team was onsite and working when they said they would be, and the job was finished on time even with some 'additional challenges' that necessitated extra work - we discovered that we had to completely replace a floor about a month into the process, for reasons unrelated to Neighborhood's work. Their design team is excellent and responsive. Their project manager was good and available when needed. Their onsite construction manager was amazing, and his team were excellent. The work quality was better than we expected - and we expected a lot. For example, I expected them to install replacement radiators. I did not expect the level of finish on the installed radiators - trim, caulk, painting - at a level I have not seen before. It was the attention to small details like this that added a level of quality that we had not expected. The header they installed, which was supposed to hang down because my house is 100 years old and structurally rather odd, ended up being completely concealed in the ceiling thanks to some ingenious engineering by the onsite team - and completely 100% code compliant (see photos). I was on hand for EVERY code inspection by my town, and they are thorough, and there were zero findings requiring remediation. They got it right the first time, every time. Are there minor items I was not thrilled with? After 90 days of living in our new kitchen, only one, and that was my fault for not pointing it out when the walls were open. For those of you who hire them, if they make a suggestion or recommendation, even if it adds to the price, listen to them - they know what they are doing. I would gladly hire them again, and plan on doing so.
