For both jobs, Mike quoted a very fair price. He and his crew delivered top-notch results-patching, painting and cleaning up after themselves. Mike is very detail-oriented and is willing to give input on colors and paint finishes if that's what the customer wants. I was impressed that, despite my original plan to paint every single wall in every single room, he discouraged me from spending money where it wasn't necessary. How's that for honesty? I trust this owner and this company and will use them for all of my home's painting/power washing needs. As a fairly new resident of Chicago, I originally found Lincoln Park Painting from Angie's List.

The experience was good. I have used them numerous times. They are reliable, and the price is worth the quality.

Michael and his crew painted our iron fence with care and attention to detail. I was very pleased with their work.

We have used them several times before to power wash and seal our decks and have always been pleased with their work and their price. For some reason this year was a different story. They did their usual good job powerwashing our decks but the sealing was a problem. They overapplied the sealant causing it to pool and leave surfaces slick. We were told to let it soak in but after more than 24 hours there was still some pooling and slick surfaces. They also had some problem with their sprayers and left large sealer stains on our cement patio in the back and some spotty stains on our cement walkway and some wood furniture stored on the back cement patio. We had to convince them to come back out to wipe down the surfaces. They did not show at the scheduled time and did not call. I had to call and they arrived later that afternoon. They did wipe down the surfaces but hey told us they could do nothing about the sealant stains on the concrete and we would just have to see if they faded over time. After the pooling issue I checked the website of the sealant manufacturer and it explains that and pooling or excess sealant that does not absord after 15 minutes should be spread or wiped down so Lincoln Park telling us "to just wait a few days" was just their way of trying to avoid coming back to correct their error.I don't know why their service was so poor this year but it caused a lot of frustration and left us with long-term staining on our cement deck and walkways.

Everything was completed in one day... they showed up on time, cleaned up and the owner returned to verify the quality of the work and confirm that my expectations were met and I was happy. This is the second time I have used this company and am pleased with their work and their rates-fees. The wood deck looks brand new as does our front exterior fence.

Michael Peshek the owner came out and provided a good talk. He made verbal assurances that his team would scrape, sand and prime prior to painting. Peshek would also be hands-on on the job every day with his team. He also knows good carpenters: he's bring one out for a day, we'd pay him separately. After two unannounced delays, the crew shows up without Peshek--unannounced. First thing the team does is crack open cans of paint and start painting. No wiping down the paint surfaces, scraping, no sanding and no priming. After Day 1 we insist that they repeat their work. Day 2, Peshek shows up and leaves after an hour. Crew repeats day 1 routine. We're told that paint is actually black tinted primer (confirmed lie), they don't have any sandpaper. They refuse to remove debris from window sill. After Day 3 of same-ole and complete denial of carpentry discussion we kick them out. Project finishes 2 months later with threat of lien and anxiety from association owners.

The job was outstanding. Very polite, cleaned up every thing. Moved everything. All workers were very careful with my items in my home, but most important was the outcome of the job. Every one that comes into our home comments on the paint job. I would use them again.

Mike Peshek of LPP is a gregarious and exacting professional. Reaches above the bar, and does the extra stuff that really makes the finished product sing. He's very observant of both the big picture and the little things, and makes adroit suggestions that the layman would probably never think of. He won't talk you into work you don't need. He has a small group of trusted workers, and is likely to be on the job himself with a roller or brush. A delight to work with. We were lucky to find LPP without Angie's List the first time, and couldn't help sharing him with all you members after this successful second job.
