Painting of shutters was not satisfactory and price was rather high
($320.00).   The repair of the patio cover was okay.  He did not replace all of the wood only some. 
Color of shutters did not match door as specified.  Contractor wanted
to recharge me if it had to be done over.  I refused and will probably
contact someone else.  I would not recommend him to anyone in the
future.

He removed all of the wood on the deck and instead of him getting a dumpster he just put all of it in my trash can in my garage. On the contract he stated he was supposed to use treated wood and he did not use treated wood, which is what I paid for. The deck he put on is not even, it is lopsided and some wholes were left open. On the side of the house he did not removed the rotted wood and replace it with fresh wood. It was supposed to be done in 2 weeks. It took him three weeks to complete these jobs. When I noticed the jobs still were not finished and not done to my satisfaction, I paid him and asked him to leave.  I made it perfectly clear to him that it was incomplete, sloppy work and I wasn't happy at all. He was very unprofessional and had a very bad attitude. I called in another contractor who also stated that the work was lousy. The whole time he was working he refused to clean up after himself. Everyday I had to clean up after him. I had to sweep all the nails up off of the sidewalk. He would start around 7:30 and work until about 4, but in between he would take about 5-6 trips to the store. He also would have me go buy materials for him. He took advantage of me all around. I have bad allergies and I asked him to stop smoking and he didn't listen. He smoked all throughout the house inside and out, which made my allergies flare up.  He would throw his cigarette butts in my front yard and I had to go behind him and pick them up. He worked every single day of the week including saturday and sunday and I had to use my vacation time to sit around and babysit him. I paid him $750 for the floors, $852 for the walls in the bathroom and $235 for the door. I paid him $1924 for the deck.
