We had a very short window to get our chimney and driveway repaired on a home we were purchasing with a VA Homeloan.  Paul gave us an estimate exactly in line with what the VA inspector recommended, and did the repairs less than 2 days after being contacted.  He even showed up 45 minutes early.  The work looks great.  I'll call Paul for the next masonry job that comes up.  Highly recommended.

It went great. Paul & Jose were both very professional. The repair work they did is excellent and they completely kept the roof protected and were careful around my plants. All work areas were cleaned up. Paul also offered some suggestions for another area I might need some work done.I would hire them again.

We contacted Paul Lally Masonry via email to see if they did this type of work. We had tried to contact other masons before and didn't have much luck with them answering us. The one that did answer us gave us a much higher price, so this was round two of our search. Anyway, it was the end of the season for this type of work, and Paul's wife contacted me and said Paul would be out to give us an estimate. He came a bit earlier in the day than I expected him to, just as I was preparing to leave the house, but I had time. We talked over the style of the box, and he pointed out the pitfalls of having an arched box, which was our first style choice. We also talked over the effect of weather on laying bricks in November. So after I a chance to talk his proposal over with my husband, I faxed my acceptance to him. After going back and forth to our house a couple of times to get a nice match on the bricks, Paul and his guys came and ripped out the old box, built our new box, and were done by Thanksgiving. My neighbors and the relatives who came over for Thanksgiving dinner all commented on how nice our mailbox is. Paul and his guys showed up on time, or earlier. When Paul was trying to match our bricks and mortar, it wasn't necessary for us to be there. He would just put his samples next to the old mailbox, and we would talk by phone. His guys cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. It was a very good experience.

Paul came out to give us an estimate, he arrived on time and was professional. We hired him and when the day came to do the work, again he arrived on time, reviewed exactly what his team was going to do and left three members of his company here to do the work. He came back after the men were finished with the job to quality check. We came home later that day and were very satisfied with the work. They did a great job and exceeded our expectations. We would hire him again for future work at our house and would recommend him.

He was super nice and he came when he said he would come.  He did a good job and has been responsive.  I would like to have things in writing and I had to ask him for a written estimate and receipt.  He did a good job at a good price.

Everything went well. They seemed to be reasonable and the job was done real quickly. We had to have some one from the handyman company come out and they told us some thing completely different and substantial was wrong with it. Then we had someone from Paul Lally's Masonry come out and they told us it was a pretty easy fix. I am not sure if the price was reasonable as I didn't do any comparison but I as fine with the price. The quality of their work was good as we didn't have any water leak in. They came very quickly after we contacted them. I think they were punctual and I remember he came early. He is very nice and professional and helpful. He tried to help us and showed us the water damage that was inside the house.

Paul was extremely repsonsive and professional in returing phone calls and following up. The work was completed in a professional and in timely manner. We did not have to be on the property for the estimate or for the installation. Paul was patient with us while we were determining the size of the numbers for the stone address plate. The address plate turned out great and you cannot tell that it was not part of the orignal exterior. It was a pleasure dealing with Paul.

They ground out the mortar and replaced it on the crumbly foundation of our old Victorian house. It looks fabulous. It was a litlle dusty inside the house for a few hours and then it was done. His men cleaned up the exterior perfectly. Only had a single tulip crushed in the process. All other shrubs and greens still perfectly intact. They went into the hardest, deepest crevices of our house to complete the job. To our surprise we found former moldy pieces of our house from the last century dumped under the front porch when we broke the silicone sealing on a small window in the basement leading under the front porch. It is the only point of access to the front porch. We intially did this in order to tuckpoint the foundation under the completely enclosed front porch. The window leading under the porch from the basement was painted black and we had no idea what was under there as we recently purchased the house. Paul helped us problem solve with an extremely enthusiastic, can-do spirit and we figured out how to haul the debris out from under the porch by removing a plywood panel nailed to the side of the stairs. At first,we thought we might have to carry the debris from under the porch through the basement out the back door going under the rear deck. That turned out not to be as appealing as the exterior dumping plan. Now the plywood panels are screwed back in place and all is clean. Paul even retrieved select items from the debris like original crown molding on mahogany wood, old gas light pole and some really rusty cast iron rotar tools. On top of all that, the tuck pointing process, evacuated some house bees from their favorite perches, something we knew nothing about. He pointed to their *hiding place* and told us how to get rid of them. Paul is charming, professional, knowledgeable and a delight. This was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this company. I plan to use his company's services again in the future.

Job was done well into winter and Paul observed weather patterns to do the job on a good weather day to allow the cement to set. Job was done quickly and efficiently and really looks great. The only criticism was that the crew did not make sure that the dust and debris that was removed from the stonework was out of the gutters resulting in a blocked downspout that we could not clean until the warmer spring weather arrived.

Paul Lally's Masonry gave me a free estimate and stayed within the estimate when the work was completed. He was on time and seemed to be honest and fair. He cleaned up after the job was finished. I would use him again in the future if necessary.

He and his crew were very prompt and cordial. He checked around the whole house to see what was needed. He did a great job and I would definitely use him again. His price was very reasonable; I had estimates that were three times as much as what I paid him. He knew what he was doing and I trusted him and his work. He took his time explaining everything very clearly and went over with me what was needed.

Called for an estimate to repair bricks and mortar on my garage, they took my name, number and address. Explained that they were catching up and they would get back to me in 7 - 10 days. That was 60 days ago. I have since contacted another company to do the work.

Paul walked around the outside of the house with me and explained to me what work needed to be done. He told me that it would be a few weeks before he would be able to start. He started the job approximately when he said that he would. The grinding out of the mortar was a pretty messy job, which we were told it would be, but his workers cleaned up every day before they left. His two man crew worked hard and did a nice job. Overall, we are pleased with the work, although on some areas of the house and chimney we felt that too much mortar was left on the bricks.

The work was good. A couple of things bothered me: he said he'd be here to oversee it and he wasn't, the workmen left some things around that should have disposed of. There were some corners of the house where cement work needed to be done that I thought was included in the work but it wasn't. I pointed it out to them and he acknowledged it so I thought he was going to fix it.

Paul was quick to return my call to arrange for an estimate, and quick to come for the estimate, as well. His price was competitive/comparable to the other estimates I had gotten and Paul said he was able to complete the work soon. During the meeting for the estimate, we explained to Paul our desire to maintain the integrity of the existing brick-work and to match it closely. Prior 'patchwork' needed to be re-done, as well as some new spot tuckpointing, which Paul had indicated would not be a problem. Paul and his crew [2 men who did not speak English] arrived on time to get started on this job. However, once the two men and their needed tools were unloaded from the truck, Paul left and did not return until late in the afternoon, despite calling him a couple of hours into the job due to the mess that was already beginning to show itself. New masonry [standard gray, not a match for the existing]was smeared all over the bricks and not stuck to match the existing joints.

Very Good. I initially asked for brick replacement & he recommended a glass block instead, since the brick color won't be an exact match. I'm glad he suggested that, it looks good. He gave me a realistic expectation of time frame, cost. Showed me the replacement block before having someone come to install, giving me the option of canceling if I didn't like it before it was installed. Followed up afterwards to make sure job was acceptable.

Paul was exceptionally responsive and professional. I contacted Paul on very short notice and needed the work completed within a week due to the pending sale of our home. Paul responded to my call the same day and came out the next day to provide an estimate. Paul started the work just 2 days after my original call and completed it two days after that. He was very professional all the way through the process. I would gladly use Paul again.

Perfect, the job looks great. Came early and were finished by late morning. Cleaned up after themselves. The owner came out to inspect the work which I appreciated and informed me of some future things to be mindful of. Very professional.

I had three other contractors confirm and not show up. My tenant could not use the heat, because the chimney was totally caved in. I called Paul's office on a Tuesday afternoon and he was at the property on Wednesday morning. I had explained my situation and he was able to bring a crew with him. Paul gave me a quote, I agreed and he started and completed the work the same day. I will be using Paul again.
