Liva Marble Granite Tile

Incredible! We went granite shopping and was ever more confused by the end of the day than when we started out. We ended up at a granite warehouse and they suggested we contact Liva Marble & Granite. We found 3 slabs we liked and put them on hold. We traveled back to Orland Park and stopped in at the Liva shop. Small, dusty and with several workers busily grinding and polishing stone we took a small tour. They have the equipment on-site to accurately cut the slabs. The employees have been doing this for many, many years. After a prolonged conversation with Dan Liva (the owner) we asked him to stop over for measuring and an estimate. The next day Dan arrived and measured and submitted a quote. A tad higher than others but we felt we could trust him and decided to accept the contract. The slabs were purchased with a 50% down payment and we waited a few days. A call came in that they were ready for final measuremnets and Dan and a fellow worker showed up in their truck. There was snow on the ground and they shoveled the snow as to not track it into the kitchen. The templates were fabricated in our driveway and were tested at once. They left in about an hour. Less than a week later they returned and installed the countertops. Wonderful job. Dan explained that the tops needed to settle overnight and they returned the next day to install the backsplashes. We elected to go to the ceiling behind the cooktop. Dramatic and beautiful! All seams were epoxyied and the granite was sealed (15 year variety). All dust was removed, all water was cleaned up and when they left it was if they were never there (except for the granite of course!). Extremely professional! We love what Dan Liva did for us and we are now remodeling our powder room and we will get them back to do the vanity top as well.
