Always Ready Repair

Update on 10/21/2023 from last post 7/26/2023 Finally received the refund in mid September of $3200.00 my balance paid to Always Ready Repair In December 2022.

I wish there was an option for zero stars with an alert. Always Ready Repair installed Magic Pak furnace in my home on the 13th of December, 2022. Less than one week after installation I contacted Always Ready Repair of the humming noise and odd smell. I had NICOR come out to confirm it was not a gas leak and/or carbon monoxide. I did not hear from Always Ready Repair until after the holiday season. This was after my brother contacted them on my behalf due to lack of response. They came out on the 5th of January and the 18th of January still not resolution. The humming noise was still there and the awful smell. After making multiple calls to Always Ready Repair for resolution, they stopped responding. I contacted banking institutions and filed a dispute for $4,985.00 and $3,200.00. Both banking institutions requested documentations which was provided. Late March 2023 i was finally able to get second opinion. This company stated (see images) new furnace heat exchanger should not look (see images) this way or make a loud humming sound. I was told by the distributor whom Always Ready Repair purchased the unit and manufacturer of the unit. Always Ready Repair installed a unit that does not meet load calculation standards and Illinois air flow requirements. Always Ready Repair installed the wrong size unit. One banking institution did hold Always Ready Repair accountable and refunded $4,985.00 and the other banking institution $3200.00 is still being addressed. Prior to selecting them company I had three proposal for replacement of my unit. 1) a little over $5K 2) a little over $6K 3) Always Ready Repair over $8K Hope this review helps so many others. Update on 8/28/2023 since my 7/26/2023 post My opinion Always Ready Repair is offering customers discounts to post 5 star reviews. Then how many of these customers have Magic-Pak units which is 2-1 heating and air conditioning in one big unit. Always Ready Repair refuse to take ownership of the safety errors they made by installing the wrong size unit. Always Ready Repair didn't respond to the distributor or manufacturer. Now I post my review and every possible platform known of from earth to heaven. It's then the owner of Always Ready Repair reached out to the distributor. Always Ready Repair still NOT taking fault for installing the incorrect unit. Which put my life and the other unit owners life in my condo building in danger. Always Ready Repair claim to have a certified letter from GW Berkenheimer. What they have is a letter typed up in Microsoft Word not on company letterhead and etc. I actually have a copy of that letter. Which was provided to me by the Better Business Bureau. GW Berkenheimer addressed that situation with the employee. $4,985.00 refunded back to me by Well Fargo. The remaining amount paid to Always Ready Repair of $3200.00 is still pending for refund request by to me. This is still being addressed with the other bank institution and etc. My review/post is against ALWAYS READY REPAIR. This is not a negative review toward the distributor GW Berkenheimer or the manufacturer of Magic-Pak. Again this review is all about Alway Ready Repair ONLY!

Excellent service. I would not hesitate to use them again & will have them out next fall to do a check up & cleaning on the system.

It went very well. I have used them a few times previously and am always happy with their services. They are responsive and punctual. They are very knowledgeable and willing to assist if you have any questions. Their prices are also very fair. I would recommend them to others.

Always Ready Repair responded within 15 minutes of my Sunday morning Angie's request. Promised to call the next morning between 7 and 7:30. Called promptly at 7. Window between 9 and 11. Arrived at 9. Technician was very knowledgeable. Replaced the A/C compressor and assured the Freon level was full. Loving my nice cold house.

Jason at Always Ready could not have been better. He was on time, very professional, and did amazing work. What's even better is that he told us we did NOT need new AC units (yet) contrary to what the larger Chicago chain told us. We will most definitely be using Jason and Always Ready for all of our heating and cooling needs moving forward.

Wonderful. He added some expensive soon to be non existent Freon and it’s been working like a champ. The technician was well skilled and professional. He knew within 5 minutes what was wrong, he also told me what to do for my upstairs unit because he wasn’t scheduled to look at it. It totally worked so we have had cold air from the AC in BOTH units since the day he visited.

I needed a furnace replaced and a tankless water heater installed. They emailed me when they were on the way with the technicians name. This allowed me to be ready for them instead of the “window” you get from other companies. Install was clean. They used all the latest tools and technologies. They are truly professionals. Highly recommended!

I've hired Always Ready for the past several years for our annual HVAC maintenance. They are always prompt and polite, and take their time to explain what they are doing. When I mentioned a problem I had been having with Jason, he recommended a whole house fan to help circulate the air and draw in cooler air at night. I never would have thought of it, but we love our whole house fan! This year, we knew we would have to replace our furnace and A/C. Always Ready was there first thing in the morning, and brought in more help to be sure to complete the job by the end of the day. They left things cleaner than when they arrived, and everything works great! Thank you!!

My initial call for a quote was answered quickly and the quote given very promptly. When I was ready for the work, the crew was able to accommodate my time and arrived as expected. All of the proposed work was reviewed with me. All of the work was completed as described and exactly as originally quoted. I was very pleased with the work and will highly recommend Always Ready Repair to friends and family.

Jason came within the time frame I was given. He explained everything he observed and gave me the pros and cons of changing a part and the cost. He answered any questions I had regarding the furnace and its upkeep. Fair pricing. I would use Always Ready Repair again and recommend their services.

I received a call right away to set up an appointment. They called the morning of the appointment to give a 2 hour window. Tim was on time and very professional, He said it would take about 2 hours and went right to work. After installation, Tim showed me how it worked and how to adjust it if needed. He also explained the required maintenance. When Tim left he made sure the area was clean. I would definitely hire again and I will be calling them to check the furnace and humidifier.

Our ac went out on one of the hottest days of the year, of course. We called Always Ready Repair because they were close and came highly rated, still expecting to hear that we would have a long wait, but to our surprise, we were told someone would be out within an hour. Sure enough, a serviceman was out within the hour. He was very courteous and professional, but best of all, he had the part I needed on his truck! He installed it, did the paperwork and was on his way. I will absolutely use Always Ready Repair again.

My original call was returned promptly. Received a fair & complete bid. The installation team arrived on schedule. Installation was professional and they were careful not to damage anything in my condo. Everything works fine.

The techs were very courteous and knowledgeable of what they had to do.

The quality of the work performed was much superior to the work done by others both in our unit and in neighboring condo units. There was a delay in the Village issuing the building permit but once it was issued the work was completed in one day.

They came out and not only replaced the faulty part, but gave me a money saving tip on the filters I was using. One of the best services I ever received. Beautiful kind people. The office and the repair man.
