Dave Lukitsch was very professional and did an excellent job. Our piano sounds so much better!

The piano was in need of tuning. Dave took his time through the whole process. While dealing with several stuck keys I felt he didn't rush and was after a consistent response for the entire keyboard. Every step along the way to well tuned piano was methodical and unhurried. It's nice to have someone that does a great job.

After a move, our Yamaha G2 needed tuning, and in addition seemed to have a damper problem. I found Dave on Angie's List, called him mid-morning, and he answered personally. I explained our situation briefly, and he said he could be here around 4 that afternoon. When he learned that we resided not in the city, but rather in a far-flung suburb, he qualified himself and said perhaps 5 but he would call closer to the appointed time. At about 4:15 he indeed called to say he was a few minutes away. Dave diagnosed and solved the damper problem immediately--a feature, as it turns out, not a bug, and then spent the next two hours meticulously tuning, then cleaning and touching up, our baby grand. He didn't mind that I observed, and he and I carried on a pleasant and informative conversation throughout. Leaving no trace other than a perfectly tuned and freshened piano, he then charged about half what I was ready to pay.

Dave showed up about 5 minutes early for the appointment. He was courteous enough to take his shoes off when he came in (as it was snowy outside). Dave spend just over 3 hours turning and tweaking the piano as it hadn't been tuned in quite some time. Dave was more than friendly, was extremely friendly and it was a fantastic overall experience. I won't hesitate calling Dave again the next time I need it tuned.

Dave promptly responded to my inquiry, showed up on time and then spent about three hours tuning and repairing my piano. For all that he charged only $90! I will definitely use him again.

Dave tuned our vintage baby grand piano. Took over two hours, He did a meticulous job, The piano sound was incredibly improved after he was done. He only charged us the quoted rate of $90, but we were so impressed with his precision and attention to detail that we tipped him an additional $60.

He was quick (able to fit me in that very day). He was professional, did a terrific job, and courteous. He was also very competitively priced. Id recommend him again in a heartbeat.

r We first used Dave during the summer of 2011 when evaluating some used pianos (as we were interested in purchasing them). We asked Dave to meet us at individual’s homes to perform a cursory review the condition of the pianos before deciding to make an offer. We used Dave again during an evaluation of a piano during the second week of August 2012, and again the following week (after purchasing and moving the piano to our home). Dave is extremely meticulous in his work, he is very thorough and diligent (He spent close to 3 hours performing a tuning/clean-up of some issues with the piano). He is amazingly responsive (even on short notice). For all of his efforts during the past two years, I feel as though he could have fairly charged us twice what he has (The $135 fee included an 80 mile round trip drive for an evaluation, plus the time of the evaluation (1 hr.) plus 3 hour tuning). I will continue to utilize him for all future piano tuning and highly recommend his services.

Dave is the embodiment of professionalism. Extremely knowledgable and dedicated.He spent well over 3 hours of his time and went above and beyond in every aspect, even cleaned out every key.He kept his 90 dollar estimate even though he clearly had to work a lot longer than most cases. He said the piano had likely never been tuned before and it took a lot of work.

Arrived promptly at the scheduled time, which was made the same day I called to inquire about service. He quoted us $90 on the phone. We have two pianos but were only looking to have the one in the best condition tuned. He took a look at both and advised which he thought was the better option. He got to work right away and performed services as expected. He replaced a string on the piano and completed the work in about 2 1/2 hours. The price remained $90. He even informed us that when the new string stretches (as they do) he would stop by if he was in the area and re-tune the string for free.

Dave tuned a piano that unfortunately had not been tuned in over a year. He quoted me 1 hour tuning for $90.00, yet spent 2 hours doing the job, with no request for additional money's. The Piano sounds great..............very pleased, I now have "MY" Piano tuner!

Dave arrived promptly, and he tuned my piano for 3 hours straight without taking a break. It had not been tuned in over 10 years so he said he would need to take a little extra time to do a thorough job. He had to fix many of the individual pads because they weren't hitting notes at all. All the keys now work and sounds sound perfect. I strongly recommend Dave Lukitsch.

Dave was willing to come out the next business day. He was a prompt and professional. He could have tried to sell me his services, but it became apparent right away that he was too honest of a person to do that. Instead, he pointed out why it was probably not worth restoring, unless it was of great sentimental value (which it really was not). He pointed out that it might cost extra to move due to its size, and that it would be alot of work to refinish the surfaces, in addition to his work of replacing many pads, etc. He recommended I continue my search. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced piano tuner who you would feel comfortable having in your home to do the work, I would not hestitate to give him a call.

Dave was responsive, prompt, thorough, courteous, and reasonably priced. He was able to come on the day we called him. He showed up at exactly the time promised. He also found and fixed a small problem with sticking keys in the piano and cleaned the keyboard thoroughly.

I called for an appointment and Dave scheduled me right away. He arrived promptly and had everything ready to tune my piano. Dave is a true master at his craft. He made my 95 year old piano sound wonderful. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

he Called to inform me he would be a couple of minutes late. He arrived a couple of minutes later. he checked out the piano, asked what I was looking to do exactly, gave me a price, I agreed, and he started to work. 3 I/2 hours later, he was finished. Great job.

I called Dave to schedule a tuning and he said he could come the same evening, which was very nice of him. I scheduled for 7 pm and Dave showed up exactly at 7 pm. Upon entering my home, he even asked if he should remove his shoes--very polite! Dave was very polite and professional. He worked steadily the whole time he was in my home, no breaks, no excess talking. Dave is a quiet and polite, a gentleman. He appears to take his work very seriously. I am pleased with the tuning and will definitely have him back in six months for another tuning. He quoted me $90.00 over the phone and he charged me $90.00--no surprises. I would recommend Dave as a piano tuner you would be comfortable having in your home and working on your piano.

Arrived on time. Worked for 2 hours. After he was finished, asked if I was satisfied with the tone.He did excellent work. I highly recommend him.

Dave met me at two residences on two separate nights to evaluate pianos that were for sale. He did not perform a full tuning (as I didn't request this), but helped me to evaluate the sound board, the current tune and condition. I contacted him on the basis of other reviews and was pleased and will definitely utilize him again (for tuning) once we find our piano.

Dave was very prompt and accommodating in scheduling an appointment to tune our grand piano. While tuning the piano, Dave also took the time to answer some general piano maintenance and care questions. We were pleased with Dave's work, and the newly tuned piano sounds wonderful.

And like the first time, he was punctual, thorough, and informative. The piano is an old spinet, so it needs careful attention, and Dave provides that. A good piano tuner is hard to find. I'd recommend Dave for even your grandest grand piano.

He was punctual on the dot of 1:00pm. I had a two hour window, and if I didn't have the vet appt., he probably would have been here longer. Went to work straight away. A man of very few words, but courteous, nice, meticulous, asked me questions about what I was looking for in the sound and key action. Recommended that I up the humidity in the house, which would help maintain the sound quality (less flat). Asked me about the brightness of the sound, was it enough, too much. I told him some of the composers I play (e.g., Chopin, Schubert), and that I while I bought this piano for its enthralling bass, sound and dynamism, I also appreciated at times a tonal quality similar to pianoforte. When Dave finished my piano, I had beautiful sound; he knew exactly what I wanted. He is the third piano tuner I've had since purchasing this grand 5 years ago. He is my piano tuner going forward. Don't be put off by his quiet manner or laconic speech, he is superb at what he does and clearly loves the piano.
