Dave Lukitsch Piano Service

Our piano badly needed to be tuned. We had a guy out 5 years ago, but he left it untuned since he was worried it would break. Fortunately, Dave made our piano sound perfect. After reading all of his reviews on Angie's list, I only wanted Dave. He spent a ton of time tuning the piano as if it were his own. My family is thrilled! Thank you, Dave.

I contacted Dave on 7/19 and he came out on 7/20 - let's start with that, wow!! He is very, very detail oriented and thorough in his work. He spent 2 hours tuning and cleaning our piano, as well as repairing a sticking key. He was very professional, courteous and I will definitely call him in the future! My piano sounds fantastic!!

Dave spent a lot of time tuning a piano that was new to us and hadn't been tuned in a long time. He was very professional and charged a fair price for the amount of time/ work.

Fantastically- he was on time and spent 2 hours despite saying our piano was in good repair (a little sharp). I paid about double what he charged last time because of time spent and as a holiday gift.

Dave arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. It was apparent that he was experienced and competent. The piano is very old, and hadn't been tuned in many years. I was worried that it would never sound good again. Dave worked on it for about 2 hours and 15 minutes. He vacuumed it and tuned it. It now sounds good again.

Dave tuned our Steinway baby grand and it sounds great again! This is the second tuning since I acquired the instrument last May. Again, he responded quickly, was on time, and was extremely professional. He spent two hours tuning the piano and then vacuumed the inside. Dave is now our go-to guy for piano servicing.

Dave did an excellent job and was very professional. He returned my email quickly and came on time. Spent almost three hours to tune the piano. He also fixed a few keys which were sticking. My piano sounds so much better now. I have used a coulple of piano tuners before, but he is definitely the best. Very satisfied.

Watching Dave Lukitsch meticulously and lovingly restore this piano to its former eminence was almost like watching a great pianist perform. He spent a lot of time with each steel string, tightening, adjusting, using a tuning fork and high-tech electronic tuner to arrive at the perfect pitch. He then gently, thoroughly cleaned every key hammer so it will make perfect sound when it strikes its string. And he used a small vacuum to clean out every nook and cranny. Besides being a consummate professional who obviously loves his work, Dave is a friendly guy, a great conversationalist who enjoys meeting people. I called Dave from my home in North Carolina and asked him if he could tune my son's piano, which had been in the family for many years. It had been moved several times, including long distance, and hadn't been tuned in 6 years. I was in Chicago for several days and Dave was able to accommodate my schedule on short notice. This was a surprise gift to my son. Dave arrived early and spent two hours cleaning and tuning. He was very professional and took his time. He did a great job. Great value for a great job. Dave called to ask if he could arrive early, which was great. He spent 3 hours on our piano, which hadn't been touched in at least 5, no, 6 years. And it had NEVER been taken apart and cleaned. He worked on the action so it was quiet (no one had ever done this). He was courteous, thorough, extremely professional and knowledgeable. $180 for 3 hours of such specialized work is the deal of the century! We love our piano and hope to pass it down to one of the kids. I feel it is in good hands -- Thank you Dave!

This was my second time using Dave. Again, he did a fantastic job! The piano sounds great and a few keys that were sticking were even fixed. He was punctual, courteous, and price was great. I would highly recommend!
