Nice to have a personal touch from people who care about their customers. We could no longer close one of three shades in our bedroom. On the phone, they told us how to remove the shade from its bracket. We brought the shade to their store in Palatine and Randy and Dave gave us a tentative diagnosis that it may still be covered by Hunter Douglas warranty. A few hours later they called us to tell us the repair was completed under warranty. Great service. We highly recommend them.

Window Fashions took my call for the repairs I needed on the second ring of the phone when I called. The person was professional, kind and accurate as to when the individuals would be coming to either repair the blinds in my home or take them back to their factory for repair.
The repair people arrived on time on the day promised (even calling beforehand to give me an approximate time when they would arrive), were professional and were able to fix both of the blinds in my home without taking them back to their showroom/factory.
If you need repair work done on any blinds, this is the business to rely on! They also clean blinds and I will use them when mine need cleaned.

Our home has long vertical blinds that were made around 1990 that look very good on our windows. Unfortunately, the plastic that was used for the vanes in these types of blinds back then was susceptible to the long-term effects of UV rays from sunlight. Over the years, the plastic sleeves yellowed from sunlight and became brittle and cracked. We like our blinds, so we wanted to try to find replacement vanes that would allow us to re-use the cloth inserts from our blinds in vanes that were the same size. This would also allow us to save a great deal of money versus buying all new window treatments.
We took one of the blinds to Window Fashions Unlimited and told them what we would like to do. They said that they could order new vanes for the blinds and do the replacement. We discussed a couple of color options that were available and chose the one that looked like the vanes we had. They said that they would order them and should have them within a week.
The next day we got a call from them letting us know that the color we had chosen was on backorder and that there was no known availability date. They said that they could get us the other color right away if we didn't want to wait. We decided that we liked the color we had and so we said that we were willing to wait until they were available.
Fortunately, this happened very quickly. Within a week we received a call letting us know that our blinds were ready to pick up. We went to get them and were thrilled with how nice they looked. They also told us that the new plastics being used for vanes nowadays are built to withstand sunlight, so we should not have the same problem that we did with the original vanes.
We are very pleased with the service that we got from Window Fashions Unlimited. They were very friendly and easy to deal with and you could tell that they really cared about doing the job right. They ordered the blinds, cut the sleeves to size and inserted our old cloth inserts, giving us vertical blinds that look brand new. We could not be happier with them.

We stopped in his show room to get ideas on window treatment options. Randy and Pat are always helpful with ideas to find solutions that meet our budget requirements. Over the past 25 years they have installed drapes, blinds, shutters in various rooms in two different homes. They handle all work from start to finish...measure, bring out samples, install, and insure total satisfaction. For example, after our wood blinds were installed for over 10 years, we broke the wood rod that opens the blinds. Randy said he could order one but offered he had one in his shop so he dropped it off so we would be able to open our blinds. Another time, he stopped by to fix our kitchen shade when the chain came off the spindle....they are the only people I go to for window treatments...no job too small nor too big. They also do excellent custom work which we used to coordinate our bathroom and master bedroom.
