We could not be happier with our refinished kitchen cabinets and wine shelves from Craig with Unhinged. His attention to detail is unparalleled and our 14 year old kitchen looks brand new. The entire process was quick and easy with clear communication from start to finish. I couldn't be happier with my new kitchen. The color is exactly what I envisioned. Unhinged took my doors and painted them offisite, and after a couple of weeks, Craig was able to come in and finish the cabinets/reinstall the doors in just one day. His precision hand-painting was excellent. He even painted the hard-to-get spots underneath the cabinets and on the frames. Craig also went above and beyond by cutting a piece of wood and painting it to match an awkward spot in one of the corners. He also worked very quietly, and I was still able to get a full day's work in while he worked on the cabinets. The price was incredibly reasonable for all this work - the best rate that I found. I definitely recommend going with Unhinged.

Craig was very helpful in all elements of the project. He helped us decide on color and finish for cabinet doors, on the replacement of some cabinets with drawers, and on crowning the cabinets. He was very prompt and professional throughout and we would gladly hire him again.

Job started off fine. At the beginning of covid we gave Craig all the time in the world to paint our cabinet doors off site. Eventually he came to paint the in unit cabinets. We were in the middle of getting new appliances in so he had to come back to finish the job when it was about 95% complete. That's when Craig stopped responding and refused to come back to finish the job. Including repainting some parts the were done poorly and immediately chipped off and putting back some pieces that encased the appliances. Craig ignored texts and when he did respond he simply shrugged you off and told me to find someone else to finish the job that we paid him for. We were more than patient with Craig. After ignoring us for a while he said he had an ankle injury. We told him we would gladly wait until he recovered. After that he shrugged us off and ignored us. Would not recommend simply because he is unresponsive and flakes out on completing a job. I have the texts exchanges showing him just ignoring us even though we were more than patient and never harassed him.

Craig is a consummate craftsman. He was also on time and delivers what he promises, answering any questions or concerns, which is not the norm. And, on top of all that, he is neat and cleans up after himself. In addition, he listened carefully when I told him I was allergic to paint and he made sure there was plenty of ventilation. Craig restored my kitchen and vanity cabinets and painted them so I can sell my house. I am looking forward to showing the new kitchen and powder room to buyers. I have already showed friends and family who thought the cabinets were new. From the first time I spoke with Craig, I felt he was a good listener and he sent me a quote right away based on photos so I could decide between him and another contractor. Craig won my confidence and the job and I have already recommended him to my realtor and friends. I would definitely use him again. Thank you, Craig, for also being an awesome person.

Fabulous, it went off without a hitch. Everything Craig promised he delivered and then some. If there was a higher grade than A he would deserve it A+++++. I couldn't be happier. He made my old cabinets look like a million bucks!!

Craig came to my house and we discussed the possibilities. He gave me a quote and took with him a cabinet door (I had some extras) to stain so we could look at it and get the color right. That one was too dark, so he took another door and stained each side of the door with a different, lighter shade. I chose a shade. 

We arranged for Craig to take the doors and drawer faces. He did so and stained them at his facility. On a separate date he came into my home and stained the cabinet boxes themselves. (Note that the boxes remained attached to the wall/floor. This process is done with a spray, not a brush, and any adjacent surfaces were well masked for protection from the sprayed stain.)

The results are fantastic. The wood grain still shows through the stain, which is what I wanted. Craig also managed to erase the flaws on the cabinets that my installer had created by poor installation (e.g., wrongly drilled holes filled with wood filler). 

Throughout, Craig was flexible with my schedule and kept all of his promises.

He answered all of my questions and did an OUTSTANDING job.  He even did the work one week EARLIER than his anticipated start date which was very much appreciated!

After doing a ton of research to find a cabinet maker or carpenter to retrofit large drawers in our kitchen island, I found Craig with Unhinged Inc.  Craig was extremely professional with great attention to detail.  He initially came to measure and figure out size of drawers.  He then returned to install the drawers... these are the most beautiful drawers I have ever seen!  
They are  of very high quality and craftsmanship.  Craig did an amazing job in retrofitting them - Because of his work and the high quality of this product, we for sure will use him again to do the rest of the cabinetry in our kitchen.

I wanted to update my 20 year old cabinets to go with a new countertop and backsplash (yes I was working backwards), but didn't want all new boxes. Craig painted the boxes and insides of some of the cabinets that had glass fronts a light taupe, and swapped out my existing cabinet doors and drawer fronts for new ones in the same color.  Everything went very smoothly and was done quickly once I decided on cabinet style and finish.  Craig gave me lots of options to choose from, and in the end he found the perfect modified shaker cabinet style (a wider detail inset than is on many shakers).  Craig is truly a master craftsman and very detail oriented. The painting work was incredible -- super neat, no messes, no spraying, super smooth finish. I didn't think a finish like this was possible when painting existing cabinets.
In addition to the painting, Craig is an excellent woodworker, so he made some modifications to some of the kitchen cabinets -- converting some cabinets with doors and shelves into pull drawers, adding a spice rack and garbage pull out, reconfiguring an unused desk area into a bar with wine fridge, adding pull out drawers to my pantry, making all drawers soft close, adding new softs and decorative panels to the island area. Craig managed to work within all the quirks left over from the prior jobs (he had to work with some areas that weren't exactly flush but made them look flush).
Craig was always on time to arrive and to depart.  He cleaned up the kitchen every day, making the space useable throughout the job.  He finished all the major work in only a week (and came back a few weeks later for one day to install glass in the doors and finish a few minor items).  And we was flexible even as I changed my mind about some things mid-job.
I love my kitchen.  It really feels like a model home kitchen thanks to Craig's work. 

He did an excellent job, and I have recommended him to other people. Very professional, which showed in his work. Everybody who has seen the kitchen thinks the cabinets are all brand new.

Craig is a professional in the best sense of the word. He does meticulous, high quality work with an eye to detail. It our first meeting he provided samples of styles and finishes so that we could see what the actual wood and design would look like. He provided a detailed estimate as well as suggestions on how to make the finished product better. Once the parts were in, Craig began work on time and finished most of the work within a week of starting. As the work progressed we decided on several additions to the job. He then provided an accurate estimate of the additions for our approval. Craig returned several weeks later to install the final details and finished in 1 day. We had full use of the kitchen in the meantime.
Craig is friendly, personable, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with.
Our friends and neighbors are amazed at the transformation in our kitchen. One even thought we had bought all new cabinets and reconfigured the layout.
It is now almost a year later. For some reason I saved the review to submit later. We are still enjoying our "new" kitchen. When Craig installed the soft close mechanism in the drawers, he turned the old drawers around so that he was not screwing into old holes. We liked the old floor plan and the old cabinets were custom built to the site, so reusing the old cabinets made sense.
His work is so meticulous that it looks like a brand new installation.
If you need cabinets refaced, Craig should be at the top of your list. He takes pride in his work.

Craig was great to work with.  From when he came out to quote to instal I dealt directly with Craig, which is great.  At the quote visit he measured, offered some suggestions, and I knew then he was who I would use for the project (I had gotten another quote.)  After product came in he was back out for the week of installation where he worked diligently and politely. After the last day a few things were off which he proactively said he would be back to fix and he did, with the same professionalism.  I came back midway through project with a few things I wanted fix, including adjusting all the crown trim out as the spacing didnt look right and Craig willingly accommodated without complaint.  Great to work with a definitely recommend.   My only two note - Scheduling was hard, much only the fault of the holidays (including my own holiday travel) but get on calendar early if you have deadline you are targeting.  2 - With trims where there will be a seam, talk before the project starts about the location on that seam.  I didnt and they ended up not where I would have preferred, but this was my fault for not talking about early. I can happily live with them, but just leave that note if you are new to the cabinet refacing area.

Craig is a consummate professional both in his work with the client and with other workers involved on the project (he referred me to a wonderful countertop installer).  He was thoughtful regarding the exchange of ideas, considerate and respectful of my home.  His craftsmanship is extraordinary and he works diligently until the job is done.  He transformed my kitchen, which was very outdated, into a crisp, inviting kitchen.  His prices are very reasonable and I cannot recommend him enough.

Craig was highly professional and meticulous in every detail of his work. The refaced cabinets look brand new and the quality of his work and his work ethic was superb.
