A year later, we still keep saying, "Thanks a lot, Leonard" with 100% sarcasm. I don't know where to begin - this guy ruined our house. First of all, he charged over 10 GRAND for work that we later found out other electricians would have done for much less. Second of all, he didn't even do it right. 1) He was sloppy with the cuts he made and we had to do insane drywall patches to fix it. 2) The lights all throughout our house continuously flicker (he rewired / installed most of them). 3) There were certain fixtures we asked him to set up, that we would later install ourselves, and he didn't do what we asked. For example, he didn't wire the bathroom vanity lights like we asked, so we had to call another electrician to fix it. He was supposed to set up a can in that same bathroom for us to install ourselves, and he didn't do that either - so now we have to call someone else to do the work that we paid him to do. This guy has caused us SUCH A HEADACHE - thank goodness we found a fair, hard-working electrician to come fix his mistakes. What a waste of money. Please do not waste your time or money with these people - they are a complete RIPOFF. They cost us thousands of unnecessarily dollars and problems. STAY AWAY.

I purchased the $50/$125 worth of plumbing services and when the men arrived they said it's $125 for an inspection so my coupon essentially covers the "inspection" and anything else would be an additional charge. I don't know what type of plumber comes to your house and just starts work, without doing some type of an assessment first. All I wanted them to check was that the pipes in the 1 bathroom and 1 kitchen were 100% closed and just make sure there were no leaks. Made no sense to me. Seemed like a bait and switch so I kindly asked the company to leave and Angie's list credited me the full amount, which they were happy to do.

Seemed like this company was new to Angie's list or are trying to offer a coupon without it really being a savings at all.

I needed to quickly get the furnace and AC inspected because I was in the process of selling my home.  He was able to make the service call with very short lead-time ( 1 day's notice).  He arrived promptly as discussed.

He did a thorough inspection and even changed up a plug (at no additional cost).

I was very happy with the service and will definitely use then again!

I asked Len to take a look at several items - checking a basement fluorescent fixture, under can light that only worked in one of 2 settings, some basement conduit that leaked water in a heavy rainstorm, and install a new dimmer that I purchased. He was able to fix everything except 2 items. the under can light which required soldering which he didn't have on his truck but got it working for now. I'm sure it will come loose again but at least know that the fixture isn't bad. Also the conduit is a much larger job that requires trenching from the outside. Overall pleased with the work - his helper didn't quite affix the cover plate properly but I adjusted the screws on that. Price was maybe a tad higher than what I expected even with an Angie's List discount but I got same day service. Len was pleasant, courteous and professional.

Leonard call me right back and came to my house to fix my furnace.  It was cold and I needed help fast.  He had the part on his truck and my furnace was working in 20 minutes.

The old electrical service panel was 100 amp and new in 1977.  Parts were no longer available and it was highly worn and non-compliant with new safer electrical codes. We had electrical problems caused by bad circuit breakers and the worn aluminum busbar panel. They replaced the electrical service entrance wiring from the meter, added a new circuit breaker panel with copper busbar and new breakers, added new code required items like a ground rod and proper bonding equipment.  All electrical services inside the house now perform much better and we feel much safer.

Prompt, efficient and quality work.  In some cases they had to correct work done by others in the past that was not proper.  The items worked on in the house work better than new now.

We called him because our lights were surging in our bedroom.  He couldnt find the problem, but thought perhaps it was the ceiling fan that had a short. He did not want to take it down unless he knew for sure that was the problem. I guess it is a real project to take it dow and put back up, plus he said he would charge us like $300.00 just to do that. So he did change the switchplates in a couple rooms and said to see if that worked. It did not. So, I called him and called him and left several messages. Finally after a few calls and messages he answered the phone. He told me to call Com Ed to come out to see if there was a problem outside.  And if they came out and there was still a problem call him back and he would come out. So after a week of so, Com Ed did come out and the problem stopped.

Leonard was great.  He was on time, and always professional.  This was in spite of me constantly changing the date and time of our appointment (anyone who has purchased a home knows the challenges involved with that).  The village here requires than an electrician do all the work behind drywall, so having someone that could work with my schedule was invaluable.  He got the work done quickly and efficiently.  He had an eye to how things looked when he pulled out the improperly installed lighting, and really took care of our property.
He also gave me a quote for a furnace replacement.  He was totally honest, and was able to knowledgeably explain the different options to me, and the pros and cons.  He didn't try to push me towards more expensive, unneeded replacements, and gave me honest, good advice.  I love it when craftsmen say, "This is what I do in my house...", and give you that advice.

Not well
Response from The Electric Plumber/Leonard's Plumbing & Electric

"I would have to apologies for my tech not using shoe covers (we do have them) We do have multiple pairs service shoes that are always clean, and our plumber made the mistake of thinking they where clean enough. Hew should of used the shoe protectors, he has received additional training. As for the faucet it needed a new spout our plumber caped the line to stop the drip and charged the correct amount for the service and quoted the correct amount for a diverter spout. The customer elected not to have us come back. As for the water issue I can see no reason why he had no water, and I am sure we contacted him. His check cleared we closed out the invoice."

Len came out and tried to root (sp?) it out. After about an hour he determined that possibly they would need to dig up the pipes in the front of the house as the 50 year old pipes might be damaged by trees. He then "jetted" out the sludge and all is fine. Signed up for yearly rooting and we should be fine. We've used Len before and he is honest and professional. Price may be a little high but not so high that is priced out of market.

The entire job took less than an hour. He was on time after requesting to reschedule, which was no problem. I paid exactly what was quoted and offered a discount for a 2 year "contract" . Really nice guy, friendly office staff and honest.

They were very friendly. They gave me a low quote and they honored that quote. We haven't had any problems since. I live close to them and I checked them out on Angie's List before I hired them. I would recommend them.

"WE INSTALLED A NEW DISPOSAL THE MEMBER SAID HE HAD A LEAK I COULD NOT FIND A LEAK AT THE TIME OF THE SECOND VISIT. HE REQUEST THAT I CHANGE OUT THE DISPOSAL. I EXPLAINED THE DISPOSAL IS A INSINKERATOR EVOLUTION AND HAD A FULL FACTORY SERVICE WARRANTY AND IF DEFECTIVE THEY WILL REPLACE FREE OF CHARGE AND HE HAD TO CALL ISE. ITS HARD TO FIX A PROBLEM THAT IS NOT HAPPENING WHEN YOU ARE ON SITE."

They didn't seal the floor next to the wall and now water is getting in and my wall is buckling. The floor tile is cracking to. My toilet is also leaking something terrible. We called them to see what they had to say about it. They said 'well, we don't do floor tiling so I don't know why you are calling'. I had to supply my own material.
Response from The Electric Plumber/Leonard's Plumbing & Electric

"WE DID THE JOB 3 YEARS AGO THE PIPES DO NOT LEAK.WE HAD TO REMOVE PANELING ON THE BATHROOM WALLS TO MAKE THE REPAIR. WE RECOMMENDED TO HAS THE AREA TILED, AS A COURTESY WE INSTALLED THE SAME TYPE OF PANELING AND WE DID CAULK IT. THIS SHOWER NEEDS MAINTENANCE AND THEY SHOULD OF RE CAULKED BEFORE IT STARTED TO WARP. WE STILL THINK IT NEEDS TO BE TILED"

The whole experience went very well. Got through with first call and spoke with the owner that morning, he was able to have Bob come out midmorning, provide a quote and complete the work. Bob was friendly, clearly very experienced and spent time explaining what had to be done and what the options were for completing the work. He was able to get started after picking up a few supplies and finished by noon. When complete, he got everything cleaned up as well as restarting the water heater (I was actually expecting to have to do that myself...so pleasantly surprised). Only thing I'd say is that the price for the work seemed a little high. However, since I don't use plumbers frequently I may not be aware of current market rates. Price was offset by speed of response, professionalism and overall service. I would definitely use this company (and Bob) again, I'd just confirm price with an alternate quote or two.

He had to improvise because the faucet didn't fit exactly right with the sink, but he made it so it would be more rigid. I will be using him again.

They were prompt in responding to my call and making an appointment. The work was well done, however, I thought the price was a little high considering it only took a half hour of labor.
