It went great! Micheal's team was on time, kept a clean workspace, and did a great job.

We spent over $19,000 to have hardwood floors installed in all the rooms in our house that did not have hardwood. We also had the few floors refinished in the rooms that had existing hardwood.  After a month the floors on the entire first floor looked cloudy and had several spaces.  I attempted several times to reach Michael. He eventually showed up for 5 minutes to tell me that we were using the wrong cleaning products. We have owned 8 homes and have used the same cleaning solution for more than 20 years..... I have had 4 companies come and look at the floors and they have all told me that the floors did not cure properly AND they were not installed properly in some locations. Needless to say - Michael can't be reached to fix them and now we have to spend $4500 bucks to get them fixed and refinished..

The company called right away. Set up appointment quickly. Arrived on time every day !!! Worked hard and NO SMOKERS !!! Consulted me on problems. Recommended options. Answered all my questions. And cleaned up at the end. After all I can say that was a great experience to work with Michael and his crew , next year I will call this company again to finish rest of our house !!!!

They came in on a Monday and sanded, then stained the floor. By Wednesday night the room was complete, only drying time was needed. Michael and his team were very clean, prompt and professional. The floor turned out fantastic even though they had to match the color of the hallway floor without knowing the type of stain that had been used on it. 
I have a couple of other rooms I need to finish and I will be using Promax again.

PROMAX did a phenomenal job on my new hardwood floors!!!  I was very pleased with the entire experience from start to finish.  Once I met with Michael and agreed that we would move forward with the work, he was very informative about every step of the process.  I definitely felt like I was in good hands with this company.
PROMAX was able to drop off the wood, remove my old carpeting, and take off all my closet doors in one visit.  Since everything was done in such an efficient and organized system, I was confident that Michael and his crew were going to exceed my expectations.  After several days of letting the wood adjust to the temperature of my home, Michael and his crew started the installation on Monday and were 100% complete by Thursday afternoon.  WOW... I could not stop smiling after walking into my newly floored home.  My hardwood floors look absolutely amazing!!!  All my friends & family say the same.
The only thing I regret is wasting my time looking at and meeting with other companies.  PROMAX was the only company that spent the time and special attention into making sure I would end up with beautiful, high quality hardwood floors.  I will definitely be referring PROMAX to all my friends and family.

From the first phone call Michael was professional, polite and knowledgeable.  He always followed up when he said with a phone call or email. He and his crew were punctual, hard working and considerate of our home.  Michael came by frequently to inspect or help with the work. He is particular about the work and has taught his crew to be the same. They cleaned up well after each day of work. The floors look beautiful and the workmanship is excellent.  We could not be more pleased with the work and would highly recommend Michael and his company.

I was referred to Michael (ProMax) by the company we hired to repair/paint all of the ceilings/walls. I contacted Michael to start the process, and even though he was on vacation in another country, he reached out to me a number of times to gather details about the job and to schedule a time to meet once he returned.
Unfortunately, Michael was delayed in returning; however, he kept in touch the entire time to let me know of his personal schedule to ensure that we could make adjustments if necessary based on ours. I was already blown away as I've worked with a number of service providers in the past who have had a "on my schedule" type of attitude; I hadn't even met Michael yet but felt comfortable this would be an enjoyable experience.
Michael arrived and walked the house with me, asked what kinds of work I'd like done, and made recommendations as to the options available based on what I was looking for. Michael provided a quote later that day and was courteous in his follow ups as he knew we were trying to get a lot of things done in a certain time frame. Michael actually picked out the stain with very little help from me since I had no idea what would be "best."
Michael and his team began their work and was in constant contact throughout, asking if we would want small changes made based on what they were finding as they worked, which I found to be a huge help. My wife and I are not yet living in the home yet, so giving the keys to a perfect stranger was a little bit unnerving; however, Michael was a complete professional and after the first day of work all the way to the last day I felt that we had nothing to worry about.
Toward the end of the project he coordinated with our painting company to transition from the flooring to the painting seamlessly; we were out of town for business and Michael took care of handing off the keys and setting up the painters to provide their services effortlessly. 
I, and my family (extended and immediate) who had viewed the home before and after the floors were re-done, were completely blown away with the results from the quality of the work to the color of the Stain that Michael picked out. Michael actually came back after the painters had finished to install a new Stair Railing that he stained to match the flooring. 
I would recommend Michael and re-hire him in a second if we were to need wood-work done, absolute professional and a valuable resource. I actually reached out to him today for a recommendation on what to use when cleaning the floors and was met with a very detailed response in a matter of minutes.

Michael came out to give me an estimate for job and I knew then I would be using him due to his easy nature and professional manner.....He showed many various options which would be best for my condo.....He did not pressure me into any expensive flooring but layed out the different options considering the floor of the condo.....
After agreeing  to type of floor and price his team came out and professionally installed floor....Michael was in constant contact with me to make sure I was happy with the process...After his team of professionals left you'd never know anyone just installed over 1000 feet of flooring.....
Upon completion of job Michael came out explained the proper care of the floors and made sure I was very satisfied with work performed...Afterward he said I'll see in a week or so for Final Payment....Most contractors want their money and they are gone never to be seen or heard from....But, this was not the case with Michael....He returned about a week or so later and I made the Final Payment.....He told me if you need anything regarding the floor do not hesitate to call him.....
I would strongly recommend Michael for any flooring needs and I am willing to share any photos of the floor he installed for me.....Thank you Michael, Mitch and Chris......

Michael and his team were prompt, hardworking, professional craftsmen whose work exceeded our expectations. Michael knows his craft and it shows in the finished job which was started and completed on time as promised and which had surprisingly less dust than expected. It is impossible to tell the difference between the new and old floor. The finish is perfect and the whole job is beautiful. This was not the least expensive company we interviewed but we immediately liked Michael and trusted he would do quality work. We were not disappointed and we highly recommend Michael and ProMax Hardwood. If you want the best, they are who you want to hire. We would definitely hire Michael again.

Overall the experience was great!  It isn't easy to just hand over $12,000 to someone that you really don't know even though his information was provided to us (highly recommended) by our realtor who said she used him on her son's flat in the city (Chicago).  His quote was fair and there were no suprises or disappointments.  He used good wood and you could tell the materials weren't cheap.  His crew was very friendly and even includes a guy who has done wood floors for over 40 years!  They were all very friendly and grateful for the gatorade and donuts we provided for them thoughout the project. 
If you live in the greater Chicago area, you need to get Michael Bujacek (Boo ya check) a call and have him do the work.  We're very happy that he did the work and that we have it done, so we can enjoy our new home. 

I got Michael's name from a friend. He came out and gave me an estimate on the spot. He kept track of everything with his iPhone so he wouldn?t forget anything. He came back the next week to start the work. We loved what he was doing so added more work as we went along. He was very professional, and worked late into the evening to get the work done. Michael did a great job, was very fairly priced, and we enjoyed having him work in our house. We will use him again in the future. He really fixed up our stairs which were in pretty bad shape and now are terrific.
