I chose this company after I had a few estimates.  They were all supplying me with the same unit but the difference was in the length of warranty on the labor.  I felt that they explained the product thoroughly, showed up on time, and completed the work in a timely fashion.  I have lived in my home for 26 years & have used another local company for all of my heating needs, repairs, & yearly cleaning.  They were the most expensive in pricing & should have taken into consideration that I have been a long time customer.  Well, I'm not their customer any more.  I felt that Palatine Heating was definitely more honest and did not try to sell me something I did not need.  They are my new go to company for all of my heating & cooling needs.

The central air unit wasn't working properly after another vendor had performed work on our sump pump.  We found out later that the other vendor accidentally turned off the central air unit.  Palatine Heating and Cooling was very honest and just turned the unit back on.  Because they had already made the trip out, we had them clean our unit and fill up the anti-freeze.  We have used them multiple times in the past on our furnace as well as our air conditioning unit and have always been pleased with the service.

We have been using Palatine Heating and Cooling for some 8 years as our provider for semi-annual cleaning and tune up on the AC and Heating systems.  They always place a call to remind you it is time to set up a visit.  They show up on time, do not suggest unnecessary repairs, and do the job efficiently.  We have always been satisfied with the work.  What I like best about their maintenance service is, being a small family-owned business, we have had the same two or three repair guys come out time after time.  You can tell that this is a well-trained and satisfied team of employees.
This recent AC install was the first time we used them for a major job.  The price was in range with other estimates, although the unit was a slightly higher grade (higher BTU's). The work involved in moving the location of the unit was rather substantial, but was well done.   The owner, Chris, worked with us on the estimate (leading us to a coupon I was not familiar with), the financing (walking us through a new system being set up), and was there for the installation.  Their attention and service are some of the best I've ever received.
